I mean as in both teams were counted out. Tampa would never beat Price and Montreal, oh now the won't beat The King and New York, Chicago's best days are over, they don't have as good a supporting cast. And here they both are.
- Timolis

Actually you couldn't be more wrong about Tampa as a lot of people including myself, the hockey news and matt barnaby had tampa in the finals before the season started. I stuck with tampa before the playoffs started. and I don't think people said tampa had no shot against the rangers or canadiens considering how badly they beat them in the regular season. Get a clue before making generalizations.

Homer post, Tampa just beat the best defence and best goalie in the league (Yandle was a 6th defencemen). Its going atleast 7.
- multinetwork

They weren't the top defense in the league. By GAA, it was Chicago. And Yandle stinks defensively. HAve you ever watched him play?

Really....

The Lightning have as much scoring depth, if not more than the hawks. Boyle Scored 15 goals on the fourth line 10 guys with 10 plus goals...Fans will see that the Lightning are one of the only teams that can match the hawks when it comes to fast break transition and quick strike offense. Will make it an entertaining series.

The Hawks overwhelming the Lightning with the cycle game, assumes they have the puck the whole game. Again, watch the lightning over any stretch, they control the puck with every line. I am not saying they will dominate the Hawks, I am saying your comment ignores reality.

In the end, I agree with the hawks edge with experience edge. Alex Killorn will be a huge thorn in the Hawks side, acting as if Stamkos is the only player on this team, again ignores the body of the teams work.

It will all play out how it plays out, and I should probably just let this stuff go, but I just can't

- TrueGrit

You are basing this all off a second of a back-to-back and 3 games in 4 nights Regular Season match-up where Tampa out skated the Hawks and won convincingly. What has Tampa done that makes you think they can win shift to shift against the best team this Century and the team that had by far the most difficult run to the Finals???

Sure, Tampa could use their young legs and out skate/skill the Hawks and win the Cup. What is more likely, is that our outstanding Top 4 suffocate their top 6 forwards enough to allow the Hawks unparallelled skill/determination/experience combination to win the series. Toews, Kane, Saad, Hossa, Sharp, \, TT, Shaw all provide offense in any way you want (net front, rush/transition game). Their D are big but Sjuster(spell check) Coburn, Garrison are all slow footed and will struggle to keep up with the Hawks cycle. Remember how "outstanding and mobile" the young Ducks Dcore was??

Also, I dont know what level you played, coached, officiated scouted, or what not. But please, the condescension in terms of hockey knowledge and analyzing the game is not needed. You dont have many(any?) buddies on this site so i guess i shouldnt be surprised. Get over yourself. we all played, coached, reffed, scouted and still play some of us. just dont think you're smarter than everyone else, bc all i see from your comments are cynicism. every time, without fail.

I get the run Crawford out of town for Cap relief.

Points on this:
1.Hawks are close to a 3rd Cup since 1961.
Do we win the 6 period marathon and not go down 2-0 against the Ducks without Crawford ? ...No.
2.Do we win game 7 with Darling?..No
3. Do the Ducks wish they had Crawford for game 7 instead of Anderson?...Yes
4.Is Crawford one of the character guys loved by his teammates? Yes
5.Is he the best goalie in the league? No.
6.Is Price or Renne or Linquist better? Yes
7. Have they won the Cup? No
8.Is Toews the best player in the league? No
9.Does he win? Yes
10. Does Crawford win? Yes
11.Will he be traded before next year? No

Love JJ and respect his thoughts but on Crawford he's wrong and he is going no where and I have this directly from my golf buddy here in PEI

The pathetic individual that calls himself "true grit" is like a six year old yelling at anyone that will give him attention. The more attention you give him - the more he yells.

If posters here really want him to go away (and I think most do), then what we all need to do is just ignore him. And just like that six year old that doesn't get any attention - he will just look stupid yelling at no one.

Trust me - trolls like "true grit" are not worth our time.

Agreed. Lets watch Bishop fold under pressure like Vezina nominees Pekka Rinne, Devan Dubnyk and a streaking Anderson....all while Crow remains a steady force in the blue paint. Timely saves and avoiding a backbreaking/soft goal are things he has done since early in Round 1 and if he plays as he has over the past month I like our chances

Does John McDonagh know that a player on his team is sharing this intimate information with you? Because if finds out about this information leak, Brad Richards may mysteriously come down with a lower body injury and be playing golf with you by Saturday.

I'm fairly confident the Hawks will win this in 6 or less games too, but you may need to check your facts. Those so called "offensively Challenged" Rangers were the third highest scoring team in the league this year.

- Ogilthorpe2

I get what the stats say but they also took advantage of some bad teams. I never worried about them in the postseason because their D is slow and they have no go to offensive players who can step up in a big spot. Nash thrives on garbage goals by throwing pucks from bad angles to the net. Those don't happen as often when goaltending improves. He also gets a lot of his goals against bad teams. This is a team that has a lot of speed but not a lot finishers.

Me too. Agreed with the assessment (JJ I think) that said it was a great performance while giving up three goals in game 7 vs ANA.

For most of the game Crawford was not giving ANA any rebounds especially in the second when an earlier goal may have given the Ducks some life.

FYI...

Jen LC ‏@RegressedPDO May 31

The 2 teams in the Playoffs that have taken more hits than all of the others? Chicago and Tampa Bay

...So much for that strategy.

But I think the Hawks need more redass for next year

Good point. I need to zip it.

It's a small Island here in PEI... 120,000 people and Brad does some amazing Charity work that goes unnoticed. Two million here last summer alone. As rich as he is he's a modest ...Nice guy. Last time the Cup was here was Adam MacQuaid in 2011. So Bring it back Brad. Love to see MacQuaid a Hawk!

I would certainly question "most do" want him to go away - I would guess (GUESS) that Nester, Ogie, Rick - as much as they argue with him - don't really want TG gone.

I've argued with TG plenty in the past - I certainly don't want him to leave - any more than I want PE with his conspiracy theories to stop or any others that I may - uhhhh - have disputes with from time to time.

Let's just counter with facts, logic, and rationality - and enjoy this Blackhawk 7 year and current year run with each other.
