Chicago might want to restock the cupboards a little bit though too. It might be to their advantage to sell Saad at a high point.
They desperately need D men. Keith is getting up there and Seabrook is gonna get paid handsomely. - sbroads24
Chicago would be smart to start to do a semi re-tool in order to keep up long term success.

They do need to gain some assets back, thats why I think they ship out Sharp. Why trade a guy in Saad for assets in the hopes of them becoming him?
Sharp will get some good pieces back, the classic 1st round pick, good young player, and a prospect.
Pokka from the Leddy trade is pretty good, had a respectable 30pts in 68gms in his first AHL season. He could probably battle for a spot next season.
If they do some smart offseason moves this year, they might not be as bad of shape that we all think they are - DDM-Coga
I don't think Sharp or Bickell get close to this |

Bickell will be tough to move because he just isn't very good. I really like the idea of taking sharp off CHI's hands on the relative cheap to help their cap issues. We get a vet who might have 3 cups, can play that 2rw spot, helps us get to the cap floor but is off the books in 2 years when we have ELC coming up.
I think sharp could be had for a cheap NHL ready forward possibly Larsson or Foligno or a mid-tier prospect that's a little further away (ie a Carrier, Compher) and maybe a 2nd or 3rd.
I might even be willing to give up to much on this. Maybe they just get rid of Sharp for a few mid-round picks.

Murray is not going to go after Sharp. he already said his target is a younger aged player 24-25 years old at max.

Sharp would get that.
hes 33 in the final year of a contract. Guys like Iginla and him get that price as a deadline rental but you are getting him for the full season.

Letang is one of the most overpaid players in the league, the Pens can keep him. |

Agreed. And it's not even normal injuries. The guy has probably the worst luck ever. I honestly feel like he should retire before something really bad happens. |

If I remember right he is making like 8M for the next 6 years.
Didn't he just have a heart problem too or something life threatening? |
