I posted about the idea that Mantha might be available last night. Intriguing idea.
I also think that guys like Shaw(chi) & JT Miller(nyr) might be able to be picked from teams in Cap trouble.
Seems to be that these are the types of guys we can target realistically without having to give up a ton

I agree. I've been on here lobbying for him as well.
Thing is, Bishop has a big Cap #
Next year it's not an issue, but the following year they need to sign a bunch of guys including Stamkos.
So they probably groom Vasilevskiy this year hoping he can take over in the 2016-2017 season & trade Bishop for Cap relief
