Not only that, but this is a lot of moves and after Bylsma signed it was basically said that we shouldn't expect too much movement. They may make a few small tweaks, but for the most part, they aren't bringing in a bunch of UFAs or anything. - HonkFortheGoose
I see the offseason as something like this:
Draft Eichel
Trade 21 for an established winger (or one ready to play a higher role at the NHL level)
Trade 51 and a prospect for a veteran D
Sign a goalie
Hire Assistants
Keep Irbe
Get ready for training camp
That's the extent of it |

I don't think that even happens. They pretty much just want to let the kids grow, so moving one for a guy that's older doesn't seem to fit. Especially since Murray said the only guys he's targeting are 24 and under. |

What I expect to happen.
1) Draft Eichel
2) use 2nd first round pick in a trade for established NHL Winger.
3) Sign a D-man
4) Sign a goalie - ImThatGuy
I'd rather draft Marner |

That's true I just think if he could get a guy cheap like that to help on the blue line it would be good for the team in the long run. Send Zadorov to Rochester for a year.
Or if not having to give up assets sign Oduya.
I think they could use one more vet:
Oduya Risto
Bogosian Pysyk
Gorges McCabe/Zadorov
Weber |

A second rd'er for Eddie Lack? I can live with that.
Lack has been a reliable player for Vancouver, so much that they traded Lulongo.
How about a tandem of Eddie Lack & Robyn Lehner? - SuperCat
A 2nd for Lack is fair. My only worry is he'll be a UFA after next season. I'd rather pass on Lehner and sign Neuvirth.
It will be interesting what direction Murray goes, looks like a busy summer. |

Signing one for cheap for a year or two I could see. But not trading Zadorov for one. Just doesn't really make sense, IMO.
If they were to bring in a guy like Oduya, I could see them moving one of the guys they have on D for a high skilled winger, but again, it just seems like too many moves considering what was said recently. |

I would offer 3/$12-15MM for Oduya
He is going to get something larger than that I expect from another team.
Probably 5 year 25. Which i would not touch. |

I dont want to give up any assets for a goalie. Plenty capable ones out there in FA. |

I wasn't moving Zadorov for another D. I was sending him to Rochester.
The only way I am moving Zadorov is to get a legit top line RW. ROR is not that btw |

He is 33. 3 years is absolutely as high as I would go. |

Ummm, go back and read your post of moves. You say "Trade 51 and a prospect for a veteran D."
You then in the next post said you'd send him to Rochester. |

Just a guess on my part but here is what I think they do.
1) Draft Eichel
2) Trade 21 + to move up to grab Konecny or Meier.
3) Trade 31 for Lack and sign Neuvirth
4) Sign Frolik
5) trade for a LD

The only FA goalies worth a damn are Ramo and Dubnyk and they'll probably both re-sign with their teams. The rest is garbage.
edit- I did mention in my earlier post that I would sign Neuvirth. Trade for one and sign the other is my plan. |

I think a 3 year deal is in his wheelhouse.
Only team desperate enough to offer a 5 year deal to a 33 year old might he Edmonton, and with Chiarelli and McDavid I doubt they have to get too desperate anymore |

Wait what?
Justin Williams is your top line RW?
No Reinhart or Grigorenko?
I want no part of Stewart back here
Moulson is not a 3rd line winger (yet)
Your captain is not playing the 4th line either.
I am not sold on Jones.
I am interested in Green but at a good price which is probably not going to happen - Stripes77
No Green. He was awful in the playoffs.
