How much time did he devote to the AHL though? I'm not sure where I read that Markstrom was given little to no goaltending coaching, I could be wrong.
- Nucker101

I believe Markstrom himself said that when he came to the Canucks and started working with Rollie.

What terrible coaching by Jon Cooper.

What does he decide to do in the 3rd when he has the most dynamic offense in the playoffs.

PLAY THE TRAP

Not to mention he has Stamkos on the bench when the goalie is pulled.

The team that knocked the Canucks out won't be winning the cup this year. That's nice for a change.

Go Hawks!
- VanHockeyGuy

They really are an incredible team. How many times has Johnny T come up huge for them? Seabs? Keith? Hjalmarsson? Hossa?

Jesus... How many hockey games has Hossa played over the last 6 years? Incredibly durable and plays both ends of the ice. Very complete player.

Admit it-- They are the class of the NHL. They can't be roughed up and nobody has the skill or speed to match them.

Every time the Canucks tried to rough them up-- Where did it get them? Where did it get Boston? Or the Ducks?

The Hawks just match it and then grab another gear and leave you in their dust.

I wouldn't mind having a handful of their players on our team.

I got nothing against any of them except for the Elbow Keith through on Danny. But still can appreciate what he and the rest of the team brings to the table. They are one hell of a hockey team.

And I gotta think the Bolts feel a little shook right now. That is not a nice way to lose.

The elbow was a poop move for sure. I don't think there is any one guy here who hasn't had their emotions get away from them. Chalk it up to that.

As for the end-- That's what this Hawks team does. It's just incredible to watch as a hockey fan.

As a fan from an opposing team-- It's an awful sinking feeling. Game 7 and Toews scores to take the game into overtime. All I could think was Christ... Here we go again.

I'm just a fan of their game since teams try to resort to thuggery and they still can't beat the Hawks.

How many times has the NHL and their " Game Mgt " let teams get away with crap?

It's nice to see a team with with heart, speed and skill no matter how much game mgt is thrown at them.

No. I. Can't.

Not with 19. If he gets traded along with 5, then maybe. but I dislike the both of them for their attacks, verbal and in 5's case, physical & suspendable against the Canucks... I don't care how "good" people think they are. I like other guys on that team as players, but not them.

That't it.

What about the Bruins SJ Kings. They have all gone after our top players more than once. It is no secret , remove the Sedins they have nothing after that.

Canucks have been soft since Bertuzzi Cook and Jovo Cop on D have departed. They never replaced that fear factor. Everyone knows when they play the Canucks there is no payback

Lucic and a bruising DMAN could fix that.

Package?

I don't see it personally. Virtanen thrives off of the rush and arguably the weakest points of his game is cycling the puck and offensive zone positioning which is exactly what you need to play with the Sedins. I think he'll fit well with Baerstchi on a line that scores off of the rush. The Sedins always seem to work well with guys who are strong along the boards and score from around the net(Burrows, Carter, etc.). I really think a Joel Ward-type of player would be $$$ with them.
- Nucker101

Yeah, he's more a a bull in a China shop. Where is the cycle game takes patience to allow the play to unfold. I actually think Grenier might be a better fit. A bid kid who establishes potioning. A poor mans anderchuck
