I'm of firm belief that if they would have come clean the punishment would have been far leas. To make natters worse, they basically said the whole thing was made up.
PEDs are 4 games for cheating. This is pretty much the same - Bieksa#3
They are so easy to hide. Nobody even gets caught anymore. |

And not everybody gets caught speeding. Doesn't mean u stop charging the ones you catch.
The last couple yrs the NFL as a whole has come down on these guys.

Gees that Petry deal sure makes the Tanev deal pretty sweet. I doubt you find a single gm who would take JP over Tanev.
And 33 mill the going rate for JP like d men, I'd imagine the market for Hamhuis and juice will be huge. - Bieksa#3
Petry is a much better D than Bieksa is and much younger than Hamhuis. There would/will be a market for Hamhuis because he still provides high quality play but don't get your hopes up about a market for Juice.
A Regehr like return would be the best case scenerio (2 2nds) but I will be surprised if he even garners a 2nd. Remember all Benning got for Garrison who was 4 years younger than Juice is, signed to a market value deal and had just scored 33 points (led all D) was a mid 2nd round pick....

I'm not a Pat's fan but this is really a BS non issue that Goodall is making a big deal out of. Half the league are criminals and they go after a star player like Brady over nothing. NFL justice is a joke. - thundachunk
It's not nothing, he cheated to give himself an advantage over the other team, the Pats have cheated CONSTANTLY over the years. It's time that they pay the piper for it. They've gotten away with lots because Goodall has been such good friends with Kraft. Poor Brady, I wonder why he cares so much, he's got 4 Superbowl rings that aren't being taken away and it's not like it's going to really hurt the Pats much. |

I've got no problem with it. Cheat all you want, they're not the first to do it and they won't be the last, but if you get caught then be prepared to pay the consequences. |

This. Some here overvalue our junk and want gold in return sometimes.

Selective enforcement of rules is a sign of questionable integrity (if it was ever there in the first place).
Having a rule book that is arbitrarily enforced leaves fans and participants scratching their heads. Is this fair? Is this political? Would I be treated the same way? Do I want to be part of this?
When someone is caught in a lie or in a situation where you weren't honest, leniency should not be expected. This type of behaviour should not be rewarded, however understandable the behaviour may be perceived. |

The repercussions never outweigh the consequences of cheating.
Certainly speaks to why they do it. |

Ask Bruins fans, it's kinda similar to Henrik and Burrows. |

They catch people cheating they punish them. The browns got fined 400k and lost a pick for a text on the sideline
The falcons lost a 5th rounder and 250k for pumping noise into the stadium.
And they both admitted it soon as acussed.
The patriots refused to co operate , they refused to own up to it and its their 2nd offense.

I don't consider anyone soft who's willing to go to the front of the net. I've seen Krejci score a few on the doorstep. You got to be hard to play in that war zone. |

You can't talk to them. In their eyes... The B's are protectors of all that is Holy and Sacred.
And if you ask them... Protectors of Teen Virginity... Though I suspect it has more to do with Lucic Cheapshots. |

So. ?
Rules are rules. If it is nothing, then why are they being so uncooperative and why did they bother doing it in the 1st place?
If you don't punish it then where do you draw the line? Cheating is cheating |
