Don't go there. I just hope he pans out. He has the tools.

Kass will be a great 2nd or 3rd line player when/if he earns the opportunity. BUT...the Bertuzzi comparisons have got to go. He's just not that kind of player, he does have to use his body more, but he's not a dominant guy like Bertuzzi was.

Kassian actually has good passing skills.

This back thing could be a big issue.

The team played really well in front of him the first 40 games of the year when Lack barely got a game, they had a great first half of the season...not lost on me.

I think that is key, for whatever reason ( comfort, luck, etc) the Canucks scored more goals and allowed more less in front of Miller than Lack. Miller also had a couple of very hot stretches, 2 back to back shut outs I believe. Taking that into consideration Miller's performance looks even worse imo.

I would still like to give Kassian another go.
- thundachunk

It's hit or miss with him. His stock is low right now. Play him and he starts hot value way up. If he's hot do you keep or trade?

Yes - he needs to be more of a pro and commit to being the best pro he can be.

Ray Ferraro on 1040 right now...says what most others are saying. Pretty hard to move the Miller contract, he doesn't see it happening.

Ferraro on TSN 1040 echoes: "Ideally you would keep Lack and Markstrom. I just don't see how you can move Miller (bcs of his contract)."

Lack started 3-7 or something that's why he didn't play much.

I agree, he will never be a Bertuzzi but still think he has a chance to be very successful.

Like many players he needs to be put in the right role with the right players.

I remember watching him during the lockout with Schroeder and Archibald and that line was very good. He had the opportunity to use his size as well had some offensive (for the AHL) line mates.

He has had stretches playing well with some guys but for whatever reason has been tied to Richardson's hip often and it doesn't help his style of play imo. I hate watching great passes dieing on some stone hand's stick.

Like most young players he struggles with consistency...hopefully he matures to the point where he gets it?

Wouldn't surprise me. The one thing for sure is that Miller will be here and starting for game 1(assuming health).

As long as they don't let it fester and they re-acquire the best pick they can.

I heard his leg won't be healed until July. If he reinjures it, if Markstrom is the guy , they are hooped. There is no safety net

I bet it will all be done by the draft. It is to Bennings advantage to get a bidding war and grab the best offer.

Miller is still a better goalie then lack. Ppl love lack makes his game better then it is. Like McCann being sent home. Love him because he's hope for the future. If he was ready and showing he was ready like JV did, he would be in and stay.

Not that I don't like him, but every time he plays in the NHL he gets shelled. He has played 50 games and has been terrible

Lack went 3-4-2 during the first 40 games of the season and had a 916%

His opponents were TBL, COl, Nas, Anh(x2), Pit, Ott, Dal and NYI.

Miller went 21-9-1 during the first 40 games and had a 913%

Like I said earlier Miller was getting the wins even though he was letting in more goals.....he just had the run support.
