On another note, I'd be tempted to trade Emelin for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Would be willing to retain salary to make it work.

I think it takes more than a couple fights to make yourself a presence. I mean I don't think people really knew how scary Robinson was until he dented the boards with the hit on Dornhoefer. That right there is the definition of scary and creates a presence. I hope Tinordi pulls through but he needs to focus on the rest of his game, not fighting.

Since Emelin was on the 2nd pairing in the playoffs I don't see why you would list him as a candidate for the 3rd pairing. Gilbert is the best candidate to be moved and Beaulieu is still developing... so for me it is Beaulieu and Pateryn on the 3rd pairing, barring a major trade that would see Emelin moved.

You need an NHLer in return plus maybe a draft pick. Defensemen who can log those kinds of minutes are not a easy commodity to find.
