You're probably right. Gun to my head, I expect Lack to be traded for a pick at the draft and that's about it. Hope I'm wrong.

I'd run this team better than half of the GM's in the NHL could, including Benning.

Not good enough! Look at the other teams that HAVE drafted well in Europe and find an "IN". Never settle or this crap above is what you get.

Over that same time period Detroit has drafted 22 guys out of Europe (by the way I'm counting russians in these), 9 of those 22 picks were taken in the first 3 rounds. So its not as simple as saying, the scouts need to be better, which round you pick in is always going to make a difference.

Out of those 22 by the way they got Tatar(2nd), Nyqvist(4th) and Franzen (3rd), which is pretty comparable to Hansen and Edler considering how many more picks and quality of picks they selected.

Lombardi said he's getting a lot of proposals to move up or down in the first round of the draft.

Looks like all signs are pointing towards this being a busy draft. This is basically like a more interesting version of the TDL.

Blog's a little late today. I was caught up liveblogging the Djokovic/Murray French Open semifinal - which was ultimately suspended by darkness. Sounds like we'll finish off at 4 a.m. tomorrow.

As I perused my Twitter feed for tennis news, I picked up some goodies from the draft combine, as well as TSN's draft rankings...
