I get what you're saying, but I believe Nylander can be the other half of the duo.

If they want 4 and 5, then get a Dman to pair with Rielly so we have a dynamic duo on the back end as well

- TheThrill

Depending on how we play this draft, and whether we can move some pieces for picks we could feasibly come out of this draft with one of the strongest prospect pools out there... we have decent depth right now, but throw in 2-4 top end prospects and everything is looking peachy

Thanks, buddy.

I think this is indicative of what I do around here.

I'm a calming veteran presence. I'm mentoring the younger posters.

Mike's blog is currently going a complete rebuild. We are casting off older posters like Dozzer and Tony Fernandez who are no longer producing.

But we don't want to be like an Edmonton blog, where the young kids come in and just start posting willy-nilly, without any kind of structure. Let's be honest: those kids are never going to fulfill their promise.

We need an older guy like me to show the young kids the way. To guide them to the next level of their Hockeybuzz careers.

Sure, some negative Nellies may be upset by my $7 million a year contract, but they always miss the point: it's not just about fancy stats. I'm doing so much more.

I disagree. Beyond Nylander, Brown and Johnson, there's not much up front

On the back end, our best prospect is Percy and he might top out as a 5-6.

Got sick goalie prospects though

Wow his name is Andrew?

Ban him for 1 week & if he doesn't get it changed ban him again

- twiztedmike

2 day ban if he goes by Andy, because Andy is a good drinking buddy name.

7 days if he goes by Drew.

4 month ban if he goes by Dre.

Lumely, I want the skill up front first and foremost, I think you can get a very good D-man later on in the draft.

Family and older friends call me Andy.

Katherine and newer friends call me Andrew.

One guy calls me Drew, because he doesn't understand the words "that's not my name".

Liepsic, Leivo, Herzog, Soshnikov and Bailey all intrigue me, as does Carter Verhaegue. They're not top line talent, but all have a good shot of establishing themselves as NHL players... and there's only so many top six forward spots anyway

You can get very good players everywhere in the draft, regardless of position, as long as you scout and develop effectively.

This is true. I actually forgot Lipstick. And the Goat

Leivo will be making the jump this year. Lunchbox guy with a good shot. I see Frattin on the team as well simply due to what we will have to work with.

Bailey and Soshnikov should start in the AHL is my guess, see how they do there.

Phil could be working out in gym but keeping it low key.
- zazzle

Yeah, Phil had better not show up to camp all fat and flabby like last year, amirite?
