If u had you're choice...
Roy or Kylington at 21, who would u take?

And what if Werenski fell to like 15...
Would u trade a 2nd to move up for him?

- jdfitz77

I highly doubt he gets past 10..maybe 12 is the furthest he would slide.

TM didn't take Barbashev he wouldn't take him imo

I'm still bummed about 2013 when we missed out on Buchnevich & Slepyshev in the 3rd round.
I like Baptiste, but Duclaire went after him also.

And I hated the Hurley pick!
Wish we'd have taken Santini. I know we had good defensive depth at the time, but he was a sure thing & Hurley was a total wild card.
Most said Hurley would've been a 1st round pick this past year, but after the year he had, he'd have been lucky to be picked in the 3rd.
Let's hope he makes a big leap this year

Weird things happen at the Draft, but you're probably right
You're thinking the AVs snatch him up if he's there?
That would make sense

How's Siemens coming along for u guys?
I kinda thought he'd be in the nhl by now

That in of itself makes it worth the 21st pick. We're in no rush to be great. Imagine we have all these current prospects just joining the ranks in Buffalo, and here comes Tarasenko pt 2 to close everyone the (frank) out with mad skillz
- TheSabresTaco

Oh if he's got the potential to be that good he's definitely worth it, but if he's not you wind up looking pretty bad. Waiting on a guy for a few years then watching him play like Filatov. Definitely a lot of risk, i think a team that's already really good can take that chance on him knowing that if all goes wrong they're still set.

If he is available at 10 and Crouse/Rantenen are off the board. Avs take him.
Zacha is the question mark, I could see them taking him over Werenski. They apparently are really high on Zacha.

Siemens is coming along now, he had some injury issues the past 2 years. Concussion and and a shoulder, but he had a really strong 2nd half of the AHL season, made his debut during the last game of the season and looked really strong. He should be fighting for a spot next season.

Id try and move 21, 31 and take a chance on who's left at 11 (assuming Florida is up for it).

Idk if that would get us up to 11?
And there might not be a huge difference between who we'd get there & at 21

Right now,
Looks like Roy or Kylington could be there for defensemen
And Konecny could be a really nice forward still available
All those guys were thought to be top10 for a while

Although if there's a specific guy Murray has targeteted (for example Werenski), then it's worth doing a trade up if it's a reasonable price

If we could trade Moulson for Nash straight up, then of course.
But I doubt the Rangers would take Moulson back at all in any deal. The whole reason they need to trade him is BC of Cap reasons.

I think ppl would object less if we didn't have to give up a lot to get Nash (which we prob still will), and if he wasn't a 7.8mil Cap hit.

Toronto seems like a good fit for Nash.
They have a young guy like Kadri they can send back, plus picks... But it depends if they want to try & get back to the playoffs ASAP, or they're going to do a full rebuild. I believe Babcock coached Nash on team Canada

No way does he fit their scorched earth policy.

I know this has been reported by several people but I thought I'd toss out what I heard this morning. A friend who has ties to the local business community said that Eichel's rep has been investigating financial opportunities. Looks like it is all but official.

Have him buy local real estate in certain areas, as we all know it's cheap in Buffalo. I'd have him take advantage of that in Buffalo.

I was thinking about a guy like that. Him or maybe Rantanen, Zacha. If someone you thought you had no shot at because he was going top 10 was available there id move both picks, maybe even the other 2nd as well to get it done.
