Rantanen - homiedclown
It will be interesting how the draft falls from 6-10 but it could be that Zacha goes 11 and Rantanen goes to 9. I think once Provorov is selected, Werenski then comes off the board, pushing a forward to 11. Crouse could fall to 11 as well.
My 11-15
11. Rantanen
12. Meier
13. Connor
14. Merkley
15. Konecny (would love to see Buffalo trade up to get him) |

It sounds like Murray has talked to teams about a goalie, someone at least 25 and already on an NHL team. Sounds like Lehner, Jones, Vasilveskiy, or maybe he's interested in Holtby or Talbot. He said he's open to a vet goalie but prefers younger. He also likes Samsonov. I honestly don't know a lot about him, anybody have any insights? |

get Konecny for sure. Get a goalie with a 2nd or trade for a developed one. Gibson is my choice to keep the BUF-USA trend |

I don't understand why this needs to be a theme. Do you want to be Team America or do you want to be Stanley Cup Champions? |

Completely unrelated note. Sounds like Nash is a goner and they want to shred Cap. Ennis, pick 21, pick 31 and prospect.
Wow, you may not be a Troll, but you might be Rick Nash's cousin!
What is with the unrelenting cherishing of this Talented, but flawed winger. After his disappearing act in, what most would agree was the Rangers BEST opportunity to win the Stanley Cup, his team and its fans are discussing his removal for the betterment of the teams future. His almost 8 Million Dollar contract is not out of line with his talent level or even his strong regular season production, but his age and lack of stepping up when it matters most, which I and others noted is most likely going to see him moved for Cap releif.
As i noted to you after the Rangers were uncerimoniously sent home early due to their inability to score they wasted a real opportunity wastedf Lundquist's truly great perfromance.
Great players, have another gear in the NHL Playoffs, for whatever reason, Mr. Nash does not!

It goes against everything Murray has said he wants to build. A young team under 25. Sure I expect a vet here and there but the core of his team will be around the 25 year old range. Not a 31 year old Nash or a 31 year old anyone making $8 million a year. |

Rich Nash doesn't hurt this team at this point. The Sabres have the cap room and he's signed through 2018. This team won't be a championship contender by then. They might be a playoff contender by then. If he continues to come up short when it matters most, and there's a good chance that he will, as has been the theme of his career, you can walk away fairly easily. I'm not sure I give Ennis, 21 and 31 for him, and I also doubt that Nash is even moved at the draft, but if Glen Sather calls, I'm hoping Tim Murray will listen. Given Sather's propensity to make mind-boggling trades, I'm not so sure it would take that much to get him in the first place.

I was lurking so I had to comment. I think any team that trades for him, thats going to be his new long term home.
He wants the clear defined role in the a teams core and paid for his skill set. On the Sabres, you know he will be long term Top 6. Either Centering the 2nd line behind Eichel or playing Wing on either top 2 lines. Same that he has with he Avs, so that why I dont think he leaves the Avs. He has the perfect situation there too. Just need to make that cap hit work. 6.5m is the right number for both sides in my mind |

If Patrice Bergeron, who, if he isn't the best shut down forward in the league right now, he was just a short time ago, maxed out at under $7 million, I want no part of Ryan O'Reilly at over $7 million a year. |

I think people are going to be dissapointed when neither ROR or any young "star" under 24 is acquired. |

Maybe, but I also think Tim Murray has shown that he has an infatuation with certain players, and is willing to pay a steep price to get them. If what 89 and others are saying about his desire to land O'Reilly is true, then I really hope that Colorado signs O'Reilly long term and saves Tim Murray from himself. |

not an establish one, those are rare, the kane trade with the perfect storm.
It will have to be for a project player who has fallen out of favour with management for some strange reason (Kane & Sequin were just teams giving up too early).
Drouin, is that the target bc of how he is being mistreated in Tampa? |
