Again, unless you're offering him 9.1M+, you're not giving up four 1st rounders. - Nucker101
As a rival, I would not even give one 1st rounder, plus my prized prospects for Dougie Hamilton!

He is absolutely not worth 4 1st round picks.
Move on!!! - Sabresfan88
Nobody is gonna offer him that kinda cash....but he's worth the 2nd highest compensation package for sure. |

This gets lost on most people in here when the term "offer sheet" comes up... |

Most of us didn't know the salary guidelines changed. Now we know. Happy? |

Thanks for correcting, I thought if you got into 7 million that was where the 4 firsts were. 9.1? It has gone up over the years.
He is worth a 1, 2,, and 3 BUT I hate giving up next years pick not knowing where the Sabres are going to finish, most likely bottom 5-7. - GilPerreault11
5th 35th and 65th would be worth it in my opinion. You'd have a pretty dam good group of young dmen with Hamilton ristolinen zadarov and physk. |

I'd be fine giving up the 2nd tender, I believe its a 1st and a 3rd. Helps us, hurts our divisional team. And as you mentioned it locks up the D core pretty nicely. I'd include Bogo and McCabe in that group (even if they are the bottom pairing). |

It wouldn't be those picks. Can't offer sheet until July 1, so your draft order can't influence the Bruins decision to match. They would have to hope you're even worse next year. |

No, it is not worthed!!
If we are going to offer sheet someone, it better be for a winger(more of a need than a d man).
We are stacked on D. |

Ya if two years down the road bogo is your 5th defenseman then your doing something right. |

No. It wouldn't be a good cup final.
The oilers shouldn't be anywhere near the playoffs for another 20 years. |

I was going off of what I'd assume would be around the Sabres draft spot. And as in with the new lottery rules next year it would be risky as that pick could easily be a top three pick. |

I had the same reaction as you did.
I just didn't express it.
That could be the most pathetic statement of the year on this site!! - Sabresfan88
So if toews and Crosby switched teams do you not think Crosby would be in the same situation toews is in? Would toews have taken the pens to three Stanley cups? |

so Jonathan Toews is a nobody and means nothing to his team ..
got it
and i will say yes toews would take the pens to the cup |

Anyone who would argue Toews is better than Crosby, I can safely assume you don't know much about hockey.
And i don't care how that makes me look, because it's the truth. - ImNoTroll

It's absolutely dumb. Toews, kane, sharp, Hossa, and arguably the best dman in the league, along with another in Seabrook whom is probably a top fifteen.
And that is now, that's not counting all the players they had to lose during the first two because of the cap.
Toews the better all around players is one of the most laughable things posted here. |

Haha when did I ever say that? I completly disagree with you though. So if toews replaced Crosby on the pens this year they wouldn't have lost o NYR in five? |
