Both Rick Nash and Phil Kessel are the subject of trade rumors currently, but who is more likely to be traded?

2014 Civic.. And a 2003 civic for my kid.. - bixll
Can they be banged out or do you need new parts?
I owned a 1994 Civic. Great little car, but man the Honda dealer was a rip-off artist.
One time I was driving by, and decided to pop in because I needed new windshield wipers. I can't remember the exact number, but he wanted to charge me $60 or $70.
I asked him why so expensive and his reply they were genuine Honda blades. When I laughed in his face, he told me my resale value would be affected if I went with generic wipers.
Yeah, thanks. |

I think Kessel's the better player of the two but Nash is slightly cheaper
Nash's contract ends sooner, Kessel is younger though.
Nash probably goes sooner. Should be cheaper to acquire, and easier to commit to a 3 year deal than the 7 Kessel has left.

Yeah, but keep in mind two things:
1) These guys are RFAs, not UFAs. The trend in recent years is for teams to screw them with their "bridge deals." So nobody is going to offer them more than a 5 year deal, and no RFA wants to sign more than a 5 year deal. They want to sign a deal that takes them to UFA land.
2) If you offer a guy a deal and he signs it, the other team can't offer a different deal. They have a right to match, but that's it.
I'm predicting at least two RFA offers this summer (league-wide). - Atomic Wedgie
I agree with most of this but some of these RFA's are close to UFAgency so the bridge won't work. The younger guys probably sign 2-3 yr bridge deals but a guy like Stepan is probably getting his 7 or 8 yr deal.
Kadri and Bernier are both interesting. They 'should' be aiming for their big contracts b/c they are closing in on UFAgency but they're both coming off fairly pedestrian seasons. |

The plastic clips over the bumpers needs to be replaced.. It is just a stupid mistake, not thinking. She has a big meet at the gym, starting at 4:00pm today. The trophy placed fuucked the trophies up and they will not be here, for 175 kids or more... poop happens.. |

id feel more comfortable paying kadri more than bernier, i feel he's more proven...even if he hasnt been the player we've hoped for him to be.
i bet with babs coaching him, he's one of the players who's going to excel the most. |

Bob MacKenzie draft ranking up.
3. Noah Hanifin
4. Mitch Marner
5. Dylan Strome
6. Pavel Zacha - DavidSuzuki
Again...that is not BOBs ranking. Its a version of consensus of all other sources. |

TB made out like gangbusters, especially since they had a younger MLS clone already waiting in the wings to replace him. |

I agree - and I'm one of the guys who thinks Kadri has actually steadily gotten better. This is a big year for him though - take the next step under Babs or maybe he just is what he is. |

They have a poll at my nhl trade rumors and they have Kessel at 58% that people would trade for him. |

If Kadri's 2 way continues to slowly improve and he puts up 50 points a season and plays with sandpaper, then I'm cool with that. He's got the ability to dazzle here and there too... |

the coaching in the second half killed our offense; but did teach some fundementals on D
kadri has the grit, he can hit better than most think...he is a bit cocky still but under babs i see nothing but improvement ahead |

And remember that he didn't get a sniff of top line PP time. His PP production was garbage last year. He outproduced Bozak by a wide margin at ES ....but Bozak ran his stats up by getting to touch the puck on the PP.
In January last year he was top 30 in the league in ES points for Centers. For me, he's in the same class as a guy like Stepan who's going to get rained on by Benjamins this summer. |

I think Kadri will get a full stint on the top line and top PP this season. |
