Still, as great as he was...Mario did not beat any of Wayne's 50 odd records....and in his comeback he actually lost a record to Wayne...career ppg.

Part of what made Gretzky great is was so agile and slick that he could avoid injury because he was impossible to hit. Lemieux had more of a power game, but Gretzky didn't have any need for one.

Irrelavant really as no one is coring 200 points a season in today's NHL.

And everyone played against those same goalies.

And to be fair, a late 30's Gretzky with a crippled back got 90 points in the trap era. guy was indeed great.
