lack will get a 2nd at best. there are so many goalies available this summer, it's not a sellers market. stop dreaming if you think you can move him for a top 6 forward, it aint happening. - sensnucksnocups
I said 'value'...doesn't necessarily mean a top 6 guy. If Lack is packaged correctly a top 6 guy is attainable but it will cost us.
Where are these 'so many goalies' you refer to? Lack is considered a bonafide starter now after getting a pretty questionable bubble Canuck team into the playoffs the past few months of the season with Miller out...and teams see that. If those goalies are a dime/dozen please enlighten us...or maybe take a break and catch the Soccer highlites tonight...seems like a sport you may be able to understand.

schneider is the only reason the devils didnt finish last overall.
im not going to even bother trying to make you realize how bad a deal it was, the whole hockey world can see it was an awful move, if it was a good deal then gillis wouldnt have been fired now would he?
keep thinking it was a good move, another season and miller's age will show and you will have traded lack for a decent pick so you will see just how good that trade really was. - sensnucksnocups
Trading for Schneider (along with the contract/retirement of Kovalchuk) is going to cripple the franchise. The lack of first rounders for 3 years (and I believe they were forced to give up last years 1st round pick as punishment for the contract) is going to make it hard for them to get top end talent to take advantage of Schneider in his prime. Let's not forget that Schneider turns 29 this year and by the time NJ has enough to make a run, he'll be near, if not declining by then. That ALSO predisposes that NJ doesn't fold in the interim because of ownership/attendance issues. |

I hate LeBron, but for the city itself, I'd like Cleveland to win a championship. There hasn't been much for that city to celebrate for years, not since the Browns had Bernie Kosar. - DariusKnight
I just find it hilarious that some of the same fans calling him scum(and much worse) and burning his jersey are now cheering for him.
The Warriors were built through the draft mostly, but I always find myself cheering for the underdog. The Cavs current healthy roster is a last place team without LeBron so I found myself rooting for them.
Just shows how ridiculously good LeBron is. |

If you think that was the deal that Gillis was fired over or the reason in general then you really don't know jack $hit about the Nucks dude. Keep trying though...if anything...it's entertaining. |

Definitely on the level of a Jordan in big game situations. I like Curry (mostly because of how humble he is and how he let his daughter do his interview for him), but I want Cleveland to win to get a world championship it's wanted for so long. |

I like Curry as well, hard not to like him. But man did he have a bad game(by his standards) tonight.
Neither franchise has ever won it all, so it'll be good to see a first time champion. |

No doubt, either team that wins it will have earned it. Kinda sucks that Steve Nash had to retire, Cleveland was willing to sign him next year to be a backup for Irving, which probably would have given him the ring he deserves. But he wanted to retire a Laker because they gave him a shot with Byrant and Howard (when he was there) |

i'm a troll because i speak facts that homers don't like hearing.
ask your favorite canuck fan Vantel. he spent all summer calling me a troll because i said luongo is not going to get a big return. your most "knowledgeable" canucks fan doesn't even know his team as well as i do, so next time you try calling me a troll, just remember i know hockey better than you so perhaps you should listen to what i have to say.
or you can keep dreaming that lack + is going to land you eichel. - sensnucksnocups
No you're a troll because you post here to inflame or disrupt our threads and then whine when you get banned, you're presence isn't enjoyed on any thread. It's mind boggling that you haven't been banned for life.
I don't care that you have an unnatural attraction to Vantel, but if you really disagree with his opinions you have a problem. |

Nash deserved a ring, that guy was a warrior. He couldn't overcome his lack of athleticism which hurt his defensive game but during his prime, few could make their teammates look better than they actually are like Nash could. |

Case in point, he made Shawn Marion and Amare Stodamaire look like All-Stars on Phoenix. He basically WAS the Suns at that point in his career. Probably the 3rd best pure point guard all-time behind Magic and Stockton. |

Both players have been extremely impactful to both clubs in that trade. The level of 'validity' remains to be seen and Schneider is not technically a more 'valuable' piece at this time.
Let's see where we are at in a season or two. If Schneider is up for the Vezina and Horvat is up for the Selke then we'll have much more to talk about. - LordHumungous
While Bo has been impactful and I like what he brings every night just remember he has yet to play top 6 minutes in a regular capacity and Cory had been the only thing going for the Devils really ...I think in the end this deal could be more benificial for the Canucks long term but to suggest it's even or to bring up the selke is a bit far fetched
I will say that the Devils might be better off to not make the deal as they might have gotten mcdavid ....but we all know the lottery is just something the oilers excel at |

They would have for sure managed to have a shot at Ekblad, because they traded away their first for Schneider, they had to give up last years first as part of their punishment for the Kovalchuk deal. Like I stated before, the deal benefits the Canucks more because the Canucks are in a better position to take advantage of Horvat when he hits his prime than the Devils are with Schneider who will be close to, if not declining by the time the Devils are ready to contend in the East. |

You are both , an idiot and a troll . Just look at your name. Luongo has been gone two years and you are still in here talking about him every other day.
I see your name thrown around on this site more than anyone as the biggest most useless POS.

I agree. How he has not been banned for life is a mystery.
I seen Dion being being offered up last year for Bjugdstad , the first overall and Barton , so any Leaf fan that wants to look for Fantasyland should look no further than Mike Augello's daily blogs |

Take it easy on him, he's clearly still reliving his glory days of watching bower and Horton hoist the cup. His name clearly indicates that. I wouldn't call him a POS... That's a compliment to anyone from T-O. I mean it is known by all other Canadians as Canada's ***hole. I personally wouldn't even acknowledge anyone who still lives in the past all the time...I mean the glory days in 67....the leafs are winners, man hasn't walked on the moon yet, colour tv is just around the corner, there's no Internet. Poor old Geezer is gonna be in shock once he moves on from 50 years ago. Clearly it's dementia. |

To me , winning the cup before expansion is the same glory as Ottawa Senators winning the cup back in the early 1900s or Vancouver Millionaires winning back in 1915.
They can twist and turn it any way they want but they have not won in the modern era. If it helps them sleep better at night then so be it.
Toronto has been one of the worst sports cities in North America for decades. |

I was reading some of our proposals yesterday. Whenever there is activity or possibility of movement, you will get a lot of strange offers on here and some closer to reality.
The truth is very few ever happen but it does give us days of chat. The possibility of getting a number 2-4 pick or Dougie Hamilton would be game changing for a team. We know little about Jim Benning so there is a possibility.
Years past there was very little movement , but this year with a weak UFA crop, a strong draft crop, and early exits by favoured teams could mean a very active summer |
