I'll trade Eichel, Reinhart, Grigorenko, Zadorov, Ristolainen, Girgensons, Ennis, Bogosian, Fasching, Baptiste, Larsson, 21, 31, all 3 third round picks, next year's 1st and Gionta for Gardiner and ROR

Why not for Domi then?

True.

But seriously "sweeten the pot" as if Grigs, Zads, and 21 wasn't already overpayment

And its not for Domi? If people are willing to trade away everythign for someone who might pan out, why not get a very good NHL player.

I'm not willing to do either. When it comes to potential stars, you don't package scraps or other potential stars to get him. Because those trades are never accepted, and they're ridiculous.

I'd take Domi any day over No'Reilly, but watch Arizona give us the (frank)ing bird when we ask about him. If they give him to us, it's a lateral or step back for the Sabres.

Pass. Uber pass.

I wouldnt trade away all our assets either for Domi or ROR but this is where we differ, I would take ROR any day over Domi, you know exactly what you are getting. You have no clue what Domi will do in the NHL.

I would completely disagree, hes not some borderline player He will be a high point getter play the wing that we need and will be on the top pk unit. You cant love Gus's game and then say you dont want Domi who plays an identical game and will produce more points

I think you misunderstood me.

Acquiring Domi would set this franchise back. The subtraction would be greater than the addition.

Here's my stance. ROR can rot in Denver forever and Domi can and will succeed in the desert because he ain't gettin traded.

In regards to Domi, i also don't get everyone's obsession with trading for more players the same age as a bunch we're going to ice next fall. ROR would fit the mold of an older, experienced player, but he makes too much and will want more once that contract is up. I don't pay a whole lot of attention to the rest of the NHL, but there's got to me some diamonds in the rough out there in the 23-26 year old range GMTM could trade for or sign as a temporary place holder as center.
I'm hoping he surprises us with a good player I never heard or rather than a "name" player.

I think that TMGM will do something dramatic in the next few weeks. That said, I hope he doesn't empty out the prospect pool to do it. I don't want to see Zads or any of the young forwards go. That's the reason I liked about Myers trade - we traded a guy that needed a change of scenery and a few mid-level prospects for a stud and a good #3 D. Hopefully there are more trades like that out there.

Hot Rod Stewart, as in Rod Stewart

A very young Ronnie Wood, as in the Rolling Stones:

Kenny Jones, as in took over for Keith Moon behind The Who's drum kit:

And Ian McLagan is the cat on the bass, he's the one that put the band together!!!

You have no idea what I was thinking after reading that trade prospose, when everyone on this board thought ennis and picks 21 and 31 where too much for Nash

I think he trades 21 and moves up in the draft and also acquires a goaltender at the draft. I gotta feeling that Lack, Talbot, Lehner or Jones might be had. Then there is the UFA's (think we sign one guy, probably a vet) and the toughest speculation on whether Murray will offer sheet a player. Busy June and July. Buckle up.

It is too much for Nash, his 7.8 mil cap hit, and on the wrong side of 30.

His salary sucks too for the final 3 years.

No it doesn't because the term is 3 years. We have the space to burn. And his contract expires when we need it to, to lock up our young players.

31 is not old.

I'm just not interested in a 31 yr old, 7.8 cap hit, with 24.1 mil left to pay him.

Plus there's no way he'd waive to come here IMO.

Murray said the top 20 guys in this draft are in one class and then after that it starts to fall off.

If I have picks 8-15, is 21 and 31/51 enough to move out of that spot?
