it's generally, as you know, an area to bring a large club and a full set of armor and a gas mask. Watch your step, there's troll poop everywhere. There's more trolls per capita in there than any other hockey thread on the internet.

I would think that Risto has more of a chance to be like Hedman, but that's just me. There's reasons why I don't want to trade Zadorov. The first being I loved the pick. I think he could be a huge pain in the ass to play against, but I'm not sure that dealing with the attitude and stuff from this past year is worth it. Especially because there's no guarantee he actually develops the way we hope he will.

I haven't seen Hanifin other than in the All American Prospects game, and I can't say I was impressed because honestly I wasn't. But I don't want to make my decision based on that very limited experience with him.

I like his game. Not flashy but always seems to be around the puck. He's 26 and can play top six minutes. Rangers are close to the cap and they have to sign Stepan too. Hagelin between 2-4 Million for 4yrs lets that contract end when the future prospects are due raises. Just an idea

I think it was more the way he forced his way into the lineup in the first place. I get the feeling that his KHL team would have waived for him to go to Jr, but he didn't want them to because he didn't want to go back there. It's part of why I hate the CHL agreement, especially when it deals with the European players. Being that they're restricted as to how many Euros they can have on their teams, I think the Euros shouldn't be subject to age rules and all that.

I've seen Hanifan play and I was never bowled over by him. I think that is why many boards are putting other D before him. I would also say that Zads is big, smooth and skilled (and mean). Like I said, I am not arguing that Zads will necessarily be better. I just don't know that I would move him for Hanifin.

I mean he plays center, and I would imagine if we're trading for him, they see him in the long term plans. Sure he could cover 2C until Reinhart is fully ready, I guess I'm just having trouble seeing the fit. I would imagine that our big trade will be for a high scoring winger.

I don't know how you could say that Zads ceiling isn't a #1 guy. He has all of the physical tools you could ask, he is aggressive and he is physical.

Way, way too young to determine that. You should look up where Chara, Weber, Subban, Yandle and Lindstrom were projected to play.

He's listed as a center but I think you're right, he plays both, center during injuries.

We have Kane and Moulson in our top 6 for several more years. To me it even makes less sense to bring him in. I'm going to assume if Larsson is re-signed instead of traded, they're comfortable with him scoring on the third line with Reinhart and later Girgensons.
