Would have been a perfect opportunity for a blog titled "Rick Nash-ville" |

NYR should take any deal out there to dump Nash and his huge salary... |

How in the world would Nash and his salary fit in Minnesota? |

It's not like Nash's game has deteriorated. I don't know if "taking any deal" or "dumping" are words/phrases that should be used when talking about moving him.
He's still a highly effective player. He may not be Justin Williams in the playoffs, but you can't just wholly ignore what he does during the regular season. |

So Guile he gets 42 goals this last season and 14 points in the playoffs and you think they want to just dump him? |

Hes about as effective as my grandma in the playoffs, and shes only got one leg. |

I find it hard to believe that Eberle would get traded after his performance at the World Championships under McLellan. But if it's a legit defensemen coming back then who knows, but it would have to be a LEGIT defensemen to play big minutes. |

I feel like the Oilers would want either Weber , Josi or Jones and I don't think Nashville is trading any of those three.....especially for Eberle. And Oilers aren't in much need of prospects right now. Proposal doesn't make much sense to me. Oilers aren't trading their top scorer for Ryan Ellis and a prospect... |

Wow, then it is certainly a shame that Detroit doesn't have 3 Nyquist's to give you for Nash.
Here are some other numbers
Nash, 31, 7.6 cap hit 69 points
Nyquist 25, <<< 7.6 Cap Hit 54 points

Nash was 3rd in goals this year. The top offensive presence on the team that won the President's trophy |

Nash has only one real problem, checking in the playoffs is much tighter, he can fight thru reg season checking |

I am really hoping that Detroit isn't that stupid. Let's take on high salary with an aging player that can't produce in the playoffs for building block pieces and a decent roster player. Dumbest trade ever if it goes through. |

Anyone who is looking at Nash is looking at Kessel. In my mind Kessel has a much higher ceiling.........put him with a real centreman and he will tear it up. |

What kind of offers do you think you'd realistically get if he were being shopped? |

So right! I think a bag of pucks for Nash would suffice...no?
All it takes is a good playoff series or two and then all this chatter will stop...Hope it comes next year! |

I think an offer like Nyquist and a couple of prospects is reasonable, I'd just rather it be for somebody who has a contract already. Nyquist is a RFA probably looking for 4-5 million a year himself |
