Bubba, did you eat paint chips as a kid? 2 of the teams are actively rebuilding, yet the 3rd team gets the high end prospect and draft pick? And what's with the 2 for 1 deal the Leafs have to make?
- Jeropotato

Did your mom drop you a couple times recently?

1) Kessel is NOT getting that high of a return. Someone is needed for someone to take him.
2) Arizona can build forever, but they need someone to play with the kids otherwise they will suck forever like the Oilers.
3) NY would only consider trading Nash to decrease salary, otherwise it would be pointless to trade.

Instead of Domi, Arizona could swap in Boedker...who i think would thrive in NY.

Sorry I just realized you were an Oiler fan, rebuilding to you means getting as many #1 picks and think that will automatically turn the team around. To the rest of the world rebuilding means moving assets for other assets that will pay dividends in the near future, not a decade later.

I would offer the Hamburglar for Kadri and that's it.

EDIT: Oops just realized they are both getting traded to NY in my proposal.

3 way proposal:

Toronto Gets: Rich Nash

NY Rangers Gets: Kessel and Kadri

Then

Arizona Gets: Kessel and Zuccarello

NY Rangers Gets: 2016 1st round pick and Max Domi

Toronto finally gets a 40 goal scorer, NY drops Nash salary and picks up assets and Arizona gets some offense

Sounds solid to me!

Think it's an awkward position where Edmonton would want Jones for Draisaitl but Nashville wouldn't want to do that for someone who isn't established, and Nashville would want Draisaitl for Ellis but Edmonton wouldn't want to do it for someone of his calibre. I really like Ellis too.
- oilerfan94

I agree which is why if I was Poile I would add Wilson in there, though Edmonton would have to give up something minor in return. I would imagine Chiarelli would love to get his hands on Wilson just because of his size and his power-forward game; something the Oilers could use in their top six.

Whether or not it will realistically happen, I just really want to see Draisaitl in a Predators uniform because if he develops right he's exactly what the Predators need. They've got a lot of snipers up the wings so they need a #1 playmaker to facilitate a lot of the offense. Nashville doesn't have anyone in their pipeline who will be a future #1 center (Jarnkrok and Kamenev look like second line guys at best) and they don't exactly grow on trees so when one is available you've got to go after him.

I feel like the Oilers would want either Weber , Josi or Jones and I don't think Nashville is trading any of those three.....especially for Eberle. And Oilers aren't in much need of prospects right now. Proposal doesn't make much sense to me. Oilers aren't trading their top scorer for Ryan Ellis and a prospect...
- kahammer

Its Edmonton who would have to add for any of these guys. Significantly for either of weber or Jones. As in Nuge and Eberle

NYR would be dumb to trade Nash. Guy tore it up all season long. Straight scoring machine. Yes he's not in full force in playoffs but 14 points isn't bad by any means. Plus Nash had a solid series against Tampa. His defensive play came up huge several times, i believe one play he stripped defensemen and caused game winning play? And i do agree Wings are not the team if a trade were to happen and would be dumb to make that deal solely because of age and cap. But several clubs would be calling for Nash if he actually is made available. Hell I'll take 42 goals 69 points any day.

I concur. Nuge+ for Jones would be a heck of a trade on both teams' parts. Probably will never happen but it makes a ton of sense for both teams.

Hopkins is worth more than Jones. Hopkins has potential to be 80+ pt scorer. Jones is very good w/ a lot of potential, but don't see that trade as a straight up trade. Believe Nashville would have to sweeten pot w/ a prospect or pick...no?

I don't care what you say, every one except you knows that Arizona is actively trying to reduce salary. Try to keep up with current events. Also...why is Nash worth more than Kessel? Maybe slightly the difference is significantly less than Nazim Kadri, and getting Nash doesn't fit with the teams rebuild plans at all.they want picks and prospects as well.

Sorry Bubba, insult me for being an Oulers fan all you want, but your trade proposals are the exact opposite of the teams current rebuild strategy....how did all this get by you?

Not sure about that. Love RNH but D market is hotter than Center market. It's a fair enough trade talent wise but The Oilers will need to add. Not Eberle, but a prospect at least.

I was joking

It's a completely fair viewpoint, but personally I think defenseman like Jones are pretty rare. RNH is a very good player but his career to-date also hasn't blown me away. I don't know how long he can ride that "80pt potential" tag.

Who knows. I have always seen him as a Sedin type center. He seems to be progressing that way. As a 1st overall people will say he underachieved if he's a regular 60-80 point guy with a spike in his prime years around 29-30, but I don't. He was never ever gonna be a Stamkos or even Tavares type...and thanks to McDavid, he won't need to be.

Yeah I wasn't trying to crap on RNH, I just don't personally view him as any kind of "can't miss" talent. I think he's certainly a core player, but he will definitely be better suited playing second fiddle to McDavid.
