Looking forward to the day when there's a real change in the organization's players. - LeftCoaster
I know a simple change like Daniel Carcillo at 800 k could change the look of our fourth line with Dorsett. If he could restrain from cheap shots and fighting and concentrate mor on forchecking and hitting . |

I guess I just don't see those guys being anywhere near enough for a third overall pick like Drouin. Plus they all have NTC's. But Tampa does give them a chance to win as they're a "now" team. |

I like the idea of him but someone with more upside would be better. Had 22 points once. Other then that I think he maxed out at 11 in a season. Even the 4th line needs to contribute. Dorsett Scoring 25 is perfect. |

Benning can put Higgins/Burrows on a pedestal if he likes, however those are two spots that can be filled by young guys. And also free up some cap space. |

Reading Jim Nill's comments on his goaltending....Kari Lehtonen has a cap hit of 5.9 million for three more years. Did not know that |

I know it's not tuesday but here's my BS.
Dan Hamhuis and the 23rd to Colorado for Chris Bigras and the 10th overall.
Chris Higgins to the Flyers for the 60th pick.
Vrbata to washington for the 22nd. |

Flyers don't want Higgins and realistically he's worth a 3rd rounder. Colorado says no most likely, they're pretty high on Bigras and also move down from a pretty sweet spot in the draft.
Vrbata deal is realistic. |

Deal Vrbata for 22, give Sven his role, Higgins for a third. That wasn't so hard now was it? |

Not a love fest just logic. 20 goal guy now and not injury prone at all. Played the last five seasons without missing almost a single game. At this point...a better option than Bonino and way more consistent.

For a guy who wants change, I don't see you putting up suggestions, just knocking everyone else's. People are just spitballing here , killing a little time.
You want significant change what are your specifics? |

From what I have been reading from him, firing the GM and coach would be at the top of his list. Hiring Gillis would be next on his list. |

He reads too much into advanced stats and other things, he's kind of a person who sees the trees and not the forest for them. |

Okay, I'll just agree with everyone fantasies.
I gave my input, Higgins to me should be dealt for a 3rd rounder, he needs to go and that's fair value for him with all things considered. I don't care which team he goes to, but I've mentioned several times in the past that top-heavy teams that need quality bottom 6 help like Colorado or Pittsburgh make sense to me and I could also see him waiving to play in either place since both teams do have some nice star power.
Hamhuis to me is a long shot to get moved right now and I've already stated my Bieksa thoughts and the potential teams Benning could try to push him to waive for multiple times. |

I like Benning as a scout, but I believe his negotiating skills are pretty terrible for an NHL GM. His asset management hasn't been great so far either but hopefully he's learned from his mistakes.
I'm sorry if it scares me a bit that the guy in charge of our rebuild thinks Luca Sbisa is a decent player and Ryan Miller is a significant upgrade on Eddie Lack. |
