To Canuck Leafer from last blog.

I am not sure anyone truely wants Franson, I think we are waiting for the ball to drop.

My impression is I think JB likes him.

Secondly we are desperate for change, and with a terrible UFA crop he seems like a better option than Bieksa.

But I don't think anyone really wants Franson

Regarding the Stanley Cup...on a superficial level I find myself cheering for Tampa; Steve Yzerman has done a good job since being named GM, on May 25, 2010, building that team into a winner. Plus I like Stamkos, good kid, good player!

In five years he took that team from the bottom to the top of the East thru drafting and trading for the right combination of players. He followed his own path to what he thought was right, unlike GM's like Mike Gillis who wanted to follow others models instead of having his own vision.

Hawks are talented for sure, but they're a bunch of d!cks, they can go (frank) themselves.

You think Garrison regrets lifting his no-trade clause now?

He's essentially a PP specialist, he's not physical for his size and he doesn't defend well. He ended up being a non-factor for Nashville during the playoffs. I hope to God Benning doesn't go after him!!

I'd rather have Phaneuf

Trying for the 9th probably would take one of (or both) Horvat, Virtanen just to keep SJ on the phone. Lack, Hamhuis for Dillon and SJ's 2nd would likely be more realistic.

Do the Oil have a 2nd this year or was that compensation for Coach/GM?

For Lack
a) Try to get another first (late round)
b) Go for #31 (Buffalo)
c) Go for #33 (Edmonton)

Wilson's already said he's not trading the #9 pick.
