Not just Anaheim. So many franchises have great depth.

We talk about depth and good drafting like it's some unattainable idol. Truth is, most franchises have stayed true to drafting and development while the canucks traded their future away, drafted poorly, and fuked around with their farm system and philosophy (and a little bad luck).

It's depressing when we all get so excited about a rookie like Horvat because we're not used to our young players exceeding expectation.

I think the trolls are right. we have a lot of pain ahead of us.

This year compete for the cup top four or bottom 4 .

I think Matthias and Richardson were always in the plans until Richardson got hurt and Matthias had a terrible playoff. I think the problem is, they're afraid of a tank turning the fan base completely against the team if they traded away the vast majority of the core all at once.

Bringing back the same old core would be a huge turn off. Canucks can not try to sell the same crap next year without getting ripped

Yeah, but remember, we aren't the ones buying the tickets. The people buying season's tickets want a winner, not a team that's going to suck for 3-4 years. Until the ticket buying/merchandising demographic of corporate/rich people/people who want to be seen changes to regular people, I don't see FA allowing us to miss the playoffs.
