I could give a rats ass about Bozak as long as they move Kessel and Phaneuf. Once Kessel is gone Bozak becomes a role player, and he'll eventually be moved before his contract is up, which will coincide nicely with when the Leafs are supposed to start showing significant progress.

If somebody makes a good offer then by all means, but no need to make a lateral move right now with him. I could see him benefitting from Babcock honest,y.

For those Bozak haters: name 5 3rd line centers significantly better than Bozak.

Bozak: out of about 1700faceoffs (lots on PK/PP and in offensive and defensive zone vs topline centers) wins 53% of his faceoffs.

On first line, he's about 40-50points per season - he would probably (?) be around 30-35points on third line (since still on first pp unit).

4.2m caphit is good value for what he brings.

Nobody is saying here he's a #1C.
Neither is Kadri though.

Bozak on a third line with Komarov and another player (Holland on wing? - 45% on faceoffs anyways) would be a very good 3rd line for the Leafs.

Bozak is not the problem. --> a good #3 C-man
Kessel is not the problem. --> first line sniper, 70-80points per season
JVR is not the problem --> good 1st/2nd line winger, 60points per season, good on PP.

Phaneuf is the big problem.
Lupul can leave as well.
Kadri.. give him 1-2 more years, and play him on wing with Kessel.

I'll agree with you on that one. Bozak is not the problem. It's just that Leafs don't have anyone better to play center.

Same goes for Phaneuf btw.
