Flames really fast tracked his worth with that offersheet, but its not unjust for him to get around that dollar amount now.

ROR last contract situation was tricky...they were trying to resign stastny at 6.6m for a 4 year deal...they couldnt pay Staz that and then turn around to ROR and say take less than that even though he is arguably more rounded and younger than Stasny. They essentially got burned twice on that by having Stastny walk and then only able to get the 2 year deal with him done.

are you placing your value in offensive stats only? Kessel is a pure goal scorer and a talent when motivated, but giving ROR the short end of the stick if you are just looking at offensive stats isnt a fair way to measure his worth
