FWIW, the talking heads on NHL Network Radio this morning seemed convinced that the most recent rumblings coming out of Tampa would suggest that Bishop's down for the count.
- Ogilthorpe2

Yep....he looked like a guy on Monday who could barely move. Hawks have too much skill and too much talent to not expose that. I think Cooper realized he got VERY lucky on Monday night to get out of their with a W and Bishop ailing.

Players today have people on staff who are well educated in training professional athletes. There is a boatload of money depending on them being in shape.

whoooaaaaaaaa!!! i hope not....i want him to play...

this narrative of 20 year old kid russian goalie coming in and stealing this thing bothers me.....

we all have seen (ahem scott darling) unkown rookie netminders play extremely well because the opposition has not figured him out....

You know, it's funny, my current protocol is what I outlined (with some minimal cardio: skating, a little running and sprinting and rowing) and I was wondering just this AM how I can work pull-ups in. Not enough time is the big problem.

I would bet most do, Snapper. There are always guys to take your spot if you don't.

Right?

Heard some "expert" say that Bishop likely makes the save on Saad's game winner...IMO in that situation, Bishop likely cranes he neck out, puts his head into Saad's shoulder, drops like he's been shot, and flops around like fish on a frozen pond.

Agreed on Richards - he's not getting much fanfare but he has been my favorite Hawks forward to watch all playoffs. He is flying out there, making so many subtle plays that have contributed to goals-for. Makes the decision to not trade Teuvo+ for Kesler look even better than it already did.

He has said publically that he chose Chiacgo becasue he wanted a chance to get back.

Will he again choose Chicago at the lower rate, or will he feel they are going back, or will he go out and attempt a last bigger fatterdeal with another team/contender?

It is rumored LA Kings are desperately looking for a trade partner for MIKE Richards, and are offeirng to eat parrt of the contract and also send prospect picks to purge him from the rolls.

It was horrible, D. Just plain horrible. My cousin and I were already bugging our parents about taking the day off of school and going to the parade when the Hawks went up 2-0 in Game 7. And then Lemaire happened.

You know I met Herschel Walker once, and I asked him if the famous story about his "legendary" physique was true (that he developed it by simply doing pushups and sit-ups)...he told me that the first time he ever saw the inside of a "real" gym was at the University of Georgia and he didn't know how to use a single piece of equipment. The first time he went into the weight room with part of the team, he out dead-lifted everyone else in the room!

The Russians and Germans knew the trick:

high weight/low reps:
dead lift
squats
bench press
clean and press
lots of protein and sleep

crush your enemies
see them driven before you
and hear the lamentations of da women

Lets say Bishop plays....and the Hawks win game 5 and then the Lightning will be forced to play the young Russian in an elimination game at Chicago ??

Yikes for them .
