How many trade partners would want Bieksa at 4 mil plus for 5 more years? I am going to guess 0 - VANTEL
Just because we dislike him doesn't mean there isn't a market for KB, there are probably several teams interested, starting with Edmonton.
Seriously, Sbisa just got 3.6 for 3 more years |

Maybe you're reading into it wrong, I think he means he won't accept a trade unless the team that he's going to waive for offers a contract extension, not the Canucks. I can't see a player holding up a team like that, that's a sure-fire way to get blackballed around the league. It's one thing to decline to waive your NTC, it's a whole other thing to say if you don't give me an extension first, I'm not waiving my NTC. - DariusKnight
Give Bieksa's agent permission to have preliminary negotiations (some rules so if a deal is reached later, there is some compensation) with a couple teams where he may want to go to get a feel for possible destinations, and then get JB in there to see if a deal can be made. Agent and organization have to work together if this is going to work.
If it doesn't work out for the Canucks, I'd have no issue if they waived him to get cap compliant. |

So Nash to Vancouver? Good thing those rumours never come true. I remember last year's terrible rumour when Ek said Miller to Canucks. Good thing that never happened |

Miller. I would pay like 6mil for a goalie of his caliber. |

I figure if we trade the Sedins to NYR for Nash we will have 6.8 mil in cap space and can sign Ehrhoff and Santorelli again |

How about granting the extension, although he would have to give up his current NTC, he'll get another 4yrs but Canucks can trade him anywhere, which hopefully will be a tad better than the way Kesler left. - Makita

I do thank Torts for JV. If we kept him one more year I am sure we could have had Eichel |

I'd say probably 12-20 teams would have interest. Edler needs to go as well. The choice has been made with the Sbisa extension. |

The 4.6 cap space would be enough of an asset. The Canucks paid him very well for years and he thanks you by saying that? Screw it let him go play in Buffalo. Then we can put a guy in his place that doesn't screw up and we can sign someone else - VANTEL
Nailed it. The Cap Space alone is a premium. |

I signed up and am trying to use the CALDERCUP code, but it keeps running me in circles saying I have already used the code. I can't get to the game... Brutal. |
