Players sign with a team for a specific reason, either money or a chance at a cup. Players who sign for money will always go to where they get more, players who are looking for a cup won't say no to a team just because they trade players/ufa's who won't help them win a cup during the remainder of their contracts. That is seen more as a competitive team who wants to win and think that you can be a part of that. Players line up for teams who make trades that are for future success.

This makes so much more sense than Lack being sent packing on his own just so we can recoup one second rounder.
