I'd like to keep Ennis in anyway possible if I am trading for Nash. Ennis on the 2nd line would be pretty nice - Stripes77
Not to mention it doesn't make much sense to trade away the 1 other decent RW we currently have. Yes, Nash is better than Ennis, but RW is already thin for us, so moving the 1 guy we have there for a different guy in the same position doesn't really seem like the best idea to me. |

I think Foligno would be involved in a trade with Nash for NYR to acquire another big body.
Foligno,21,Zadorov.
I also think this Nash stuff is a pipe dream and that he will not be available. |

Have you watched Nash play? You're acting like he's Vanek. He works plenty hard on the ice. - HonkFortheGoose
Nash is a very good player.
I feel Ennis works harder, costs less, and will pot 30+ with a real Center. I prefer Ennis and he is FREE....just my opinion
Have you ever watched Tyler Ennis play? |

I'm just trying to look at what new york might want for him. Someone whom is cheaper and younger, and is somewhat established. And i like the fact that we don't add any cap doing that type of move.
I don't have any expectations of Nash coming here though, i havent smoked anything today, wish he would though. |

As a matter of fact I have. I never said Ennis didn't work hard. I simply pointed out that you're underselling Nash. It wasn't a knock on Ennis at all. But Nash is much more proven at this point. |

31 (+ prospect ) for Gibson/ Jones
Girg and 21st for a ROR/Staal type of deal?
Trade for Lucic/ Eriksson
Sign a top 2-3 Dman/ Fowler (maybe Chicago lets Seabrook walk - cap reasons)
Keep looking forward, no need to look back, Nash (age) not right direction. We need 23-25 years to build this team as a dynasty!

Garths title speculation for Buffalo and nash?
Buffalo hoping for a Nash Bash
Sabres should act in a flash for Nash
Put down the Hash, trade for Nash |

This is totally reasonable.
Also, it has been proven time and time again, building with just kids does not work. This is not video game NHL. We need veteran players, not b and C list one either like we have now.

I think gibson cost more than that unfortunately.
I'd take Nash over either of those two pending UFAs
I would Lucic, but at what cost to snap that type of player from a division rival?

21 + 31 for 12 + 49?
Options could include, Zacha, Meier, Connor, Crouse. Kind of a best of the rest pick. - Sabresfan-365
I would have to think Meier or Connor will be there at 12. I would think Fischer or Vladar at 49.

I don't see us acquiring either Nash or ROR at all Irish.
Eliotte Friedman pegged the top 3 goalies to get via trade this summer are in order, 1. Talbot, 2. Lack and 3. Lehner. I'll pass on Lehner but the other 2 absolutely. Jones or Bernier would be good options as well.

That's what im thinking as well, could take a goalie at 49 too. Fischer's solid but he's just more of the same of what we already have in guys like fasching, cornel etc. |

good point on Fischer. The goalie Vladar is really intriguing to me. |

Lots of intriguing names beyond blackwood/samsonov. Sandstrom's a good one too. |

To play GM for a moment, this is what I would do.
-Trade 21 and a prospect to move up and get Konecny
-Trade 31 for Eddie Lack
- Sign Frolik and Condra
Murray will do something big, either an offer sheet or a trade for someone we didn't have on the radar. I think he'll pursue ROR but come up short and he'll kick the tires on Nash but balk.
He might sign a UFA D man but just might stay the course and stick with Bogo, Risto, Gorges, Zads, Weber, McCabe and Pysyk. He might make a pitch for Sekera, don't be surprised. |

Sounds like an old fashioned rope a dope. Maybne he just wants someone to deal with him instead of being sheeted |
