I really really really don't want to give up Zads or Pysyk for a guy like ROR. I realize that they would absolutely have to give up D in that trade. What about Bogosian and 21 for ROR? I like Bogosian but on a good team he is a second pairing defenseman. Also, if memory serves me his possession numbers have been historically mediocre. - Slump Buster
I'd rather trade Bogosian over Pysyk or Zadorov, but how about we just don't trade any more defensemen until we can either sign someone or find out if McCabe can play?
Tim Murray's idea of a good defensemen scares me though, because I also think Bogosian is mediocre and Murray loves him. Murray also loved Jared Cowen, and he's a nightmare |

If we stay at 21, my guess is we go Samsonov (goalie)
Unless...
Konecny, Roy or Kylington fall to us
In that case, Murray may wait & try to grab Blackwood at 31
This all changes if he makes a trade for a young Goalie like Gibson or Allen
In that case, it might be #21 that we have to give up - jdfitz77
If Konecny makes it to 15 my guess is GMTM starts making phone calls to Calgary or Edmonton and offers 21, 51, and one of either Weber/mid-range prospect for pick 15 or 16. Otherwise we pick Roy or Zboril at 21. |

I seriously doubt we are going goalie at 21. |

I don't see Murray making another pick in the 1st after #2.
They are using it for an NHL ready player. |

I don't know that TM "loves" Bogosian. Cowan was considered a very good prospect at one point.
I don't think McCabe's development would prohibit a trade of Bogo. We are going to be finding temporary guys to fill in spots this year anyway. It would be good to get another piece to the final top 6. |

Who do you think that player is that they would target? I kind of look at the roster this way.
Kane-Eichel-Ennis
Moulson-Reinhart??--????
We need a second line RW and I would actually like to see Grigorenko there just to put to bed once and for all what we have in this kid. Larsson stepped up once he got real playing time and I think Girgs might not be far behind if he's actually given a real chance. At the very least we can maybe increase his trade value instead of just dumping him for pennies on the dollar or telling him to go home to the KHL. The last thing I ever want to see happen is to dump this kid and he becomes the next Flippe Forseberg.

The Hawks are on the verge of 3 Stanley Cups in 6 years? How dare the Sabres tank and try to pick high twice in two years. |

I think based on what TM said the other day their future top-line wingers are the guys moving to Rochester this year. |

It all depends on the rule changes, shot blocking and goalie equipment size but you are in the ballpark |

True but we have a hole at RW for this season and like in Michael's blog the order is going Bap, Bailey, Fash, Rodriguez. None of which are NHL ready or even have played a single professional game at the AHL level. We need someone on the second line RW for this year. Will pick 21 be part of a trade for that? Will Grig or Hodgson be part of that? But someone needs to fill that hole. |

He's definitely going to be the type of guy who's assists are at least twice as high as his goals, just based on his playing style and stuff. |

So he steps in as a rookie and you put him in the same category as Burgeron, Oreilly, and Duschene?
My guess is 8g and 20a. |

If he step in as our second line center and plays all 82 games with guys like Moulson and Ennis on his wings or even an X factor whom may not be here yet, than yes, I do think he can put up close to 55 pts. Especially if its true that he has beefed up a bit and gotten stronger. And if he has a chip on his shoulder for playing second fiddle to Eichel then he might really have something to prove. |

I take every post one post at a time, I want to give 110%, Its about who wants it more, we have to come out with the same intensity, its consistency thats key, I've worked really hard all year, I'm just trying to go out their and post my game, let the chips fall, put it all out there, i don't want to leave any words on the keyboard, every post is the most important post at this time of year. |
