I absolutely agree. Just not this year. - TheSabresTaco
I have agreed with this for the most part when talking about trading the 21st pick and prospects, but for a player of Nash's caliber, my opinion is different. With the term left on his deal it could be a great move |

Agreed. I would say our core is this:
Eichel
Reinhart
Kane
Ennis
Girgensons
Bogo
Risto
I want to include Zadorov but at the same time I want to leave him off if that makes sense. He has the most value for a player I would move so I think we could get the most for him in a trade. |

I like Pysyk but he is in the same boat as Zadorov to me.
If both are Sabres on opening night I will be surprised. |

Are you assuming one of them will be traded? I might throw something if they trade Pysyk. I think he's the type of guy every team needs, so I want him here. |

I believe if there is a big trade this offseason one of them will be included yes.
I like Pysyk can be a guy like Oduya. I just don't see both of them here come opening night. |

That's the win now plan, with a core of young stars. The minute those old guys become part of your core, you're up poop creek. - TheSabresTaco
Thank you TACO of Reason.
If there EVER was a team built with a CORE of YOUNG 1st Round Picks that has kept its CORE together while adding players of ANY age to the mix its the Chicago Blackhawks DYNASTY of the past 6 years.
How can people not understand that Chicago didn't add those players while TOEWS and KANE were still Rookies, You add those players when you are challenging for the Cup Every year and it doesn't matter How many times you have to purge the roster of Super Solid Players, I won't list all of them here, but you could make a Playoff team on just the Talent Chicago has shed in the past 7 years.
Using Chicago to explain why the 30th place Buffalo Sabres should load up on 30-38 year olds is the most ludicrious idea I've ever heard on Hoceky Buzz........ |

Gotta Give it up for the Surprise effort Richards showed after being ridiculed and dumped, perfect place for him at his age, but WOW did he step up, he WANTED this to Bookmark his career,
Crawford.......WOW Just WOW 6 Million seems pretty goood.... ..just not now...
Hossa - I stated on here that in the first round I felt he really had dropped a step, I was corrected by a poster who suggested a few opinions and I changed my view as he just kept skating when I didn't think he could keep up with some of the young TB players, he impressed and
TOEWS well, he was simply TOEWS!!!
I said a few months back that i would rather have TOEWS than Crosby when you take everything into the equation, Crosby is more talented, I like TOEWS more. Just like I always LIKED MESSIER more than Gretz

Well, of course, but if you have to say that a 40 goal scorer with 3 years or less left on his contract, if you can get him at a reasonable cost, doesn't fit your "plan", then your "plan" probably isn't a very good one at all. - buffalofan19
He seemed to be very clear, that if the COST was draft picks and a lower teir prospect then sure.
I know SATHER has made some bone headed trades, but I don't see him trading NASH for I weak return, I would not provide anything above picks/prospects , So not happening
Nash would have to want to come here/ So Not Happening....
Murray does have a plan, he has been very clear about what TYPE of players he is looking for, the AGE range he is willing to PAY for (this means if a team was to give us an over 30 yr old player for cap relief we would certainly entertain the idea while watching our cap implications down the road but only if we are getting a steal do we step outside the STATED MODEL)
I know we all love our SABRES and we all have differing opinions on which players we LIKE or DISLIKE and we try and provide reasons for these differences, its OK to like different players, its ok to suggest that TOEWS is better than Crosby, these are by there VERY DEFINITION Opinions.
If someone was to state that ENNIS had more goals than NASH last year. THAT IS FALSE!
Becuase it can be proven or disproven. When it comes to opinions, its all about nuances and personal preferences based upon each of our life experiences. Its what makes all of us unique and different and wonderful all at the same time. Celebrate Diveristy don't stifle it! |

How can Hockey Fans not see the difference.
Buffalo Sabres 2015 vs Chicago Blackhawks 2015
Posters are against giving up young talent to bring in old talent. We are not against bringing in older guys on reasonable contracts when they don't cost us anything to bring in.
Trading ENNIS is a very bad idea, unless you are getting an equally young talent with his prime waiting in return.
