How about Wotherspoon, Granlund & our #45 pick? Granlund is a centre but played a fair amount of wing. Hartley gave him a fair amount of ice time & seemed to have lots of confidence in him. Ironically, both Wotherspoon & Granlund were the the 2nd rounders we picked from that trade when Rangers stole Erixon from us. Now we just send thank you cards. The #45 pick will get you another good young player at this draft & then don't worry about any Dougie Hamilton offer sheets from them (frank)ing Oilers. We could punish them &the Canucks regularly.

To me that's a reasonable offer. The Oilers future may be bright now but look a little longer into the future and you'll see the current state of the Bruins cap. Maybe you'll get a cup maybe not but this is the end result of Chiarelli's blundering. Enjoy.

No Salary trouble here. St louis 5M is done, and Hagelin moving in this trade gets rid of his contract too. Lucic 6M is removed from Boston and they get 2 great young players for less than Lucic. Sounds like it fits to me.

Stepan gets 5.75, Hagelin doesn't get more than 3.5, Miller and Fast are NOT getting any kind of significant raise, neither player has done anything that gives them more than your standard qualifier. They are good kids, but so far thats it. Step is the only guy getting a significant raise. We have 9.5M free plus whatever rise in the cap. Should have about 12M free. So yes, theres no cap issue.

Our Current Roster is losing MSL ($5.5M) and if we move hagelin and Jt Miller thats another $5M. Thats 10.5 PLUS the increase in the league cap which should be around $2M. Thats $12.5M. Stepan's raise isn't going to be more than around $2M. Fast and Sheppard combined will not make more than $2M. That leaves $8.5M for Lucic and and a few scratched backups.

Or Forget any trade. Rangers have 9.5M open right now. with increasing cap thats 11.5M. Stepan will get around 5.75, hagelin will get 3.5. That still leaves 2.25M. Fast is getting like 900K. Miller is getting no more than $1M. Sather has worked around the margin before, he'll make it work. We aren't Millions above the cap.

You are really bad at math. You have at the most 12m in cap space and resigning Stepan and adding Lucic you would be around 11m in cap, leaving you with around 1m in space but having 9 forwards, 6d, and 2 goalies under contract..thats 17 guys. Minimum opening day roster is 20, max is 23.

Last time I checked you need 12 forwards. A little over a million to sign 3 guys, when the league min is 550k..the math doesnt add up.
