The main issue is they're both going to be tricky to move due to each having a NTC. Since they can limit Chicago's options, it could actually reduce their value to them more than if they didn't have one at all.

The fact that Bickell has a NTC makes me want to vomit.

Sharp has a 5.9 cap hit, is not in his prime, and Chicago is in cap hell. That equals a poaching. A 2nd and a minor prospect at best is what they'll get.

the 92.5 is a signing bonus that is paid automatically whether or not they playing the NHL/AHL or not.

The bonus gets paid and the contract slides a year.

Oh I get ya.

So if a contract slides, the signing bonus is removed from the cap, which is the same thing as the base salary when dealing with ELC's.
