There's a reason Hubie Brooks and Phil Jackson have said if Jordan played in todays game he'd avg 50. No one in the league could guard him in today's NBA.
The better question is would be great to see these youngins play in the 80's and 90's and see how they did. IMO there are only a dozen or so guys today that could hack it back then.

YOu mean when the regular season isnt played like an all star game lol. Thats a very good point. Also, what comes to mind when was the last time you heard in todays game fill in the blank player is a shut down defender? Dont think ive heard that one in awhile. |

i caught some and yes he looked great.. i just wonder if playing a full NHL schedule will wear him down and cause him to take a few steps back.. I hope you are right and i see that as a possibility but i just have my doubts

I wouldn't doubt if he has some rough patches during the year because of fatigue or whatever. But from what I've heard, he's a total gym rat, so I don't think his overall conditioning will be what causes it. It'll probably be more of a mental fatigue. |

that was my first thought too.. dude was a gamer on that top line with Vanek back in the day for that game.
if only we can get Grier as the speed skating coach and maybe TC could be the conditioning coach |

According to Gare Joyce, this is a very soft year for goaltenders. Sounds very confident one will not be chosen in round 1. |

A bunch of those goalies were consistently projected to land in round 1 as well. This year, Samsanov has not been widely mocked into round 1, let alone Blackwood. |
