Then we can trade Edler for a top 15 pick and be perfectly fine. - Retinalz
Why can't Aquaman do the right thing and sell the team. |

I think if he sells the team, his ex-wife gets a portion of the proceeds. |

I'll admit, I am far from an expert on this but aren't you talking about the cap being tied to league numbers?
The players are paid their salary but ownership holds back a portion of that (12, 14, 16 % etc) for escrow.
That means that if the owner are not getting paid their amount stipulated in the CBA, they can take that out of the players salaries.
Players salaries don't go up when the league is making money but they do lose when the league is losing money. The owners make their cut no matter what. - belcherbd
Players make half the money. Period.
If revenues skyrocket unexpectedly one season the players will be paid more. Like a reverse escrow.
The players keep voting to raise the cap simply because it's towing the company line and helps the union (although it doesn't really). But raising the cap each year serves to do nothing but hurt every player currently under contract as the more the cap raises, the more they lose in escrow.
Too bad hockey players don't go to college like other athletes so they could learn some f*cking math. |

Yeah, I know, to me it's LeBron even being on the losing team... How can you vote against what he managed to do practically on his own? - DariusKnight
LeBron for sure, if not, then Curry. |

Amazing to think that he's outscored, outrebounded and outassisted everyone on both teams yet isn't the Finals MVP. The dude just put on a performance that is on par if not bigger than Jordan in a losing cause, maybe better than Jordan because Jordan had Pippen and Rodman during his best run in the Finals and LeBron had no one. |

I just watched the end and they said he averaged 15 points a game.
Lebron averaged 38.
Makes no sense to me.

I would bet 2 to 1 that the 50 to 1 TO got made 3 of 4 people happy in TO. |

Caps have interest in Patrick Sharp. They would trade a 2 nd round pick for him and give the team that won 3 Stanley Cups in 6 years cap relief , and let Joel Ward walk away for nothing who is one year older, tougher and has more goals. Oh yeah and cheaper.
No wonder Washington has never won a cup. |

I was thinking, dangerous I know, why couldn't the Canucks maintain their dominance after 2011. Looking back, it's right there in front of me.
The twins were already 30 years old, Burrows was 29, Samuelsson was 33, etc. etc. the team was already old.
When the Hawks started winning Toews, Kane, Keith & Seabrook were in their early to mid 20's. This makes me wanna trade the twins (never happen I know) to re-build the team. |

give them one/two more years to help with the transition of some of the younger players and then give them the option if they want to go somewhere to try to win a cup. It's their call as far as i'm concerned. They've earned it with their play and their contributions to the community. Best Canucks ever.... maybe not the most exciting, but the best. |
