Someone asked earlier who kyle Conner reminds them of, I say Zach Parise.
If Provorov is available at 7 there's no way I trade the pick.

I'm so old he'll always be cousin Roger to me but yeah, man, his best role was definitely Jefferson. |

Pretty much paid to be handsome. At least he's more talented than Ryan Seacrest. |

Am I leight on the latest on Vinny?
http://www.hockeyfeed.com...ues-threat-to-the-flyers/ - SuperSchennBros
Not very threatening. And I don't think this is going to endear Vinny to the organization, nor do I think he's going to be bought out. And he likely won't be playing.
Welcome to Purgatory, Vinny. |

I think Vinny's in the driver seat. The Big talk of "Fine! You won't play" doesn't mean anything. He still gets paid.
If people here truly believe we're unlikely to win for the next 3 to 5 years, what does it matter if Vinny plays or not? I'm not defending the player but it doesn't matter if this is really true. |

That's what remains to be seen. If he wants to play so badly, that he's willing to walk away from the cash, he will agree to terminate. If not, he'll be a 13th forward eating cap space and wasting his last few years of potential playing time.
It's a game of chicken. Lecavalier is trying to force a buyout or trade. Hextall is trying to dump him without cap penalties. I suspect that, if neither side budges this summer, that next sumer we see him bought out. |

Again, it sounds like Vinny is in the driver seat. Based on the article I posted, he's not agreeing to a termination. I don't think I'd walk away from that money, knowing whomever signs me (If I get signed at all) won't be as much money as he's walking away from. |

Yup, good points. It's a difficult situation for both parties. Apparently the Flyers were hopeful he'd walk away from the current contract for a chance to sign and play for another team. He shouldn't be hurting for money, but his agent might not be a fan of that approach. Who can say?
If Hakstol is really the hardass everybody seems to think - and he has job security/the backing of the organization - he likely won't put up with much crap from any player who feels he should be playing even though his performance on the ice isn't what it needs to be. But who knows, maybe Haks and Vinny get along great, come to an understanding, and VLC finds a bit of that old magic? That would be pretty sweet.
It's going to be interesting to see how this team develops through the summer and into next season. |

If Vinny is put in a position to play with offensive talents in offensive situations, he might be OK. I think he could go either way. No Coach should cater to a player but some Coaches have to make the best of what they have to work with. |
