Good looks on the twitter follow (about Lack). Also, with the Dubnyk thought, if they are trading his rights, that would be a 3rd or so, then just pay the guy $4.8/4-5 years. can't imagine he thinks he is worth more. Then use the 2nd & Grigs to pull a young D or F or move the #21 pick up (lower). Still think we should try to get the Reilly guy that did not want to sign in Columbus.
The cool thing, we have a ton of opportunity to make something happen. Should be exciting couple of weeks! Maybe more exciting than the entire season! lol - Lilroot9
I wanted us to take a look into Reilly as well. TM must not be high on him, he wasn't even rumored to even meet with Buffalo at the combine. With Gorges, Weber, Risto, Pysyk, Zadorov and Bogo as your top 6, he has some trouble cracking the top 4, which is undoubtedly what he's looking for. Just a thought. |

I would be very happy with Ramo and Greiss - homiedclown
I would be fine with Ramo as well. I don't see him wanting to stick around in Calgary unless he's promised to be the starter, and they're not going to do that with Hiller there even though the two of them pretty much split time last year. |

They may send Ullmark to the ECHL for a bit. Lieuwen, Makarov, and Knapp all spent time there, so it wouldn't be the first time they've done it. Plus Ullmark is coming off of hip surgery, so he won't even be ready to go at the start of the season. - HonkFortheGoose
Forgot about that. Should certainly be an interesting offseason when it comes to goalies, not to mention Eichelmania. |

Congrats to @JayMcKee74, who per reports will be furthering his coaching resume as an Assistant with the Kitchener Rangers. Great franchise.
Well. That's that. |

I agree, but TM may have kept it on the DL, to keep options open for trades of those D men (if teams know you need to shed a player, they low ball), but if he trades one and then calls Reilly and says, I have your opening now. He may sign asap. I think Gorges is bottom 2, with Weber. I think the player with highest value is Zadorov (minus Risto, who is NOT being traded) so I think he is the odd man out. |

I don't replace Zadorov with Reilly. No chance in hell. Reilly's agent leaked the information in regards to whom his client was meeting with. I dunno, could all be noise, but haven't seen one iota of info that tied him to Buffalo. Ideally, I'd love to just trade Gorges or Weber and bring him in, but that's fantasy. |

So if an RFA signed to:
$5,478,986 to $7,305,316
means we lose
First-, second-, and third-round pick (in 2016)
Why don't Sabres just do 4-5 years at $7m/year?
If STL matches, so be it. But I would go closer to the top end of that range to really strap them. On top of that, maybe they can dig into STL $ from owner and make it so that more money up front (or something like that) makes it more difficult for him to match that deal.

I am with you, that would be amazing. I too have heard nothing, but just hoping. If they did drop a Gorges or Weber, start moving 2-3 forwards for a higher (top 6 fwd) or move up in 1st round.
Just dreaming over here. |

If you're talking about Tarasenko, good (frank)ing luck. They won't stop until we offer 4 first round picks, and seeing that we'll be a lottery team the next 1-2 seasons. Murray ain't gon' do it.
Would be cool though. |

Yes I was talking about Tarasenko and if we get him and maybe 1 other forward and decent Goalie, I think we are in the playoffs next year.
The only "issue" I see with this is, the draft is in Buffalo and I can't imagine that Pegulas want to have it hear and not draft until round 3 or 4. |

Sharp talk heating up. Price is 2nd round pick + B prospect, but several teams see that as too high, only willing to pay a 2nd. |

For Tarasenko I pay that price in 1 second. Unfortunately, pipe dream. |

Just asked him who is involved, only knows of Habs. I could see the Sabres being in with #51. Maybe a couple 3rds and prospect gets that done too. Not sure which is more appealing to us. |

Yea I guess you throw it out there and put it on Blues. I am sure they want to pay as little as possible and I really only see him as the player worth that price (those draft picks)

I've been a big proponent of Anti-Sharp. But at #51, it's a good deal. I think. |

if they are going to try to ice the best team possible and contend for 8th in the east, it makes sense
makes no sense if that is not the goal, play a kid |

being here in Utica, I have had the privilege to see Jacob Markstrom play last year and for this year. If the nucks aren't willing to part with Lack, Markstrom is a very, very solid option between the pipes.

And it is not. But unfortunately we don't even have anyone to play there. If/When Cody and Grigs are gone, we gotta get a trade done. |

I think we need to sign veteran players to get to the cap floor, so we can't play too many "kids". I think you get Reinhart, Zadorov, Eichel, and Psysk. Who else did you want to play? I do think Grigorenko will be moved.
If we buyout Hodgson, we need to get another high salary player, if we don't that is the main reason we kept him (IMO). |

So far he's been excellent in the AHL and below average in the NHL. We'll see how that goes. |
