Where in the world did you hear a 1st and prospect?
I would do 51 for him, or Foligno for him - Stripes77
Rumored deals are 31 for lack or 21+grigorenko for lack + young D-man |

It was posted a little earlier. I wouldn't move Foligno for him. I would do 51, if we lost out on Lehner, Gibson and some of the UFAs. I'm not so sure why people are high on lack. - Mentalorgasm5
No so much they are high on Lack, he comes at a good price and has respectable numbers. He is a stop gap unless he stands on his head (being under Irbe its possible) |

With as saturated as the young available goalie market is 31 is an over payment |

Not moving 21 for a goalie no matter what else comes back unless its a top 6 forward.
I would do 51 and a prospect that's a high as I would go |

Who would be your choice? I feel that we can probably get one of the UFAs to sign here which I think I would prefer just based on the fact that we don't have to give up anything for him. - HonkFortheGoose
Mine would also be a UFA. There is so many on the market, and I feel any if not all would be fine to take a flyer on next year.
Edit: I would rather bring back nuevirth than trade for lack. |

If we actually trade for a goalie instead of going the UFA direction, I hope it's Jones, Gibson or Lehner(in that order). I probably would be open to moving the 31st pick for the first two on that list. |

I don't think 21 is in play for a goalie. I'm on record posting 31 for Lack or Talbot. |

Rather do pick 51 and a prospect. That gives murray flexibility to try to move up if he sees somebody in the mid teens. I think organizationally it makes sense to draft a left wing and a left d at 21 and 31, or package them to move up a few picks if there is a guy that he has to have. Goalie just is not a position im giving up assets for. |

I did hear Cassel didn't have a good day one of the practices but to suggest a QB you just traded for to be your starter is going to get cut after OTA's is a bit absurd. - Stripes77
But for some reason it wasn't absurd that Manuel would get cut ? |

I wouldn't hate trying any of the three starters we had last year on a 1-2 year deal at 1.5-2M per. |

When Manuel is going on his 3rd year here its apples and oranges
Also the cutting Manuel part came out well before OTA's. So if he had a poor showing in OTA's and training camp he could be cut.
If Cassel sucks it up in training camp and the pre season I will have no problems sending him home |

Definitely took me a while to get into them. Once I found a few I liked, it made the transition easier. It definitely doesn't work for everyone. |

Plus bringing in Tyrod seemed to show that Manuel was going to likely be 3rd on the list. |
