Hey guys, kinda new here. Some guys on the Oilers threads say Oilers fans are not welcome to talk hockey respectfully in the Leafs threads. If that's true I'll move on, just trying to feel my way around.

Not sure why we call them sheepshead up here - we always called them fresh water drum. As a kid, I caught my first sheepshead in Florida. It was easy to see why they were called sheepshead.

Eewww..

Sheepshead fight like crazy.. I never fish lake Ontario, I wouldn't know where to start or even be all that interested. My cousin uses this charter called Homewrecker in bowmanville, and always comes back with monster walleye and salmon.. I'm taking a trip to my favorite spot in Algonquin next week for some specks and Lakers, but the smallmouth have established themselves and grow to unprecedented sizes.

i rarely fish the lake, unless for salmon or chinook in my buddy's boat which is like once a year.

pier, river and up north lake fishing (my preference).

only fished in algonquin once, and i did decent, a few walleye, bass and pike.
