LOL at TSN this morning. Apparently a couple execs say the Leafs are asking way too much. One executive said the Leafs are going to have to retain more salary than they think.



Uh, no they don't. They don't *have* to do anything.

GM's negotiating in the media. I am quite sure that most GMs would love a top 6 scoring winger who is under 30 for under 6 million on the cap.

Do the Leafs' brass expect to get everything that they're asking for? Most likely not, but the bar needs to be set high knowing that it will come down to a level that they can live with.

I saw someone drop their 12 dollar burke dog out of the bun before...id be lying if i didnt laugh.

they at least replaced it though.

lady had on a Tucker jersey and looked like she had been through hell and back, i dont blame them for giving her another...she may have killed them with her eyes.

Did they change the name of that place?

What are the chances they don't do anything next week? There would sure be a lot of disappointment in here if the Leafs stood pat next week.

Lots of speculation there will be many trades and moves since the UFA crop is weak. It would be nice if the leafs were in on a couple moves, but I just get the feeling we will be let down

I really hope the leafs also stay at #4

Its out there the leafs are interested in Provorov.. I am not buying it, the Shanny leafs have been very tight lipped about things.. if it is out there, imo its for another reason

That day has all the makings for classic let-down just like every deadline day, free agency day, draft day.....but we still get excited a kid on Christmas morning. But the excitement and speculation is what I love best though.

Having said that, I have a feeling this time will be different. There's just way too many moving parts Andd possibilities for nothing to happen.

I also think our management ggroup will be smarter in how they go about things, perception and what is leaked. That's one thing I disliked about Burke. He held no cards to his his chest and let his intentions be known way too easily.

yeah its just a doghouse now i cant remember the name.

i never had a burke dog for the record...i tend to crush 4 slices of pizza while guzzling down the brews.

and no, i dont care they are expensive...when you go to the game, which is usually like twice a year if that...you do it right!
