There's certian peoples posts I just pass over. They beat the same horse over & over again. A year of huge change and it's still not enough for some. Everyday, Lefty has to preach patience.

That's okay, I can handle you calling me out by name if you like. I'm working on farting rainbows but it takes a lot more effort than I would of originally thought.

But you can only keep one of them. HAS to trade one.

Not at the draft though

Thank you!!!!!!
The pissing & moaning is becoming embarrassing.

Absolutely. I mentioned it before... Why would anybody want to come if here if the fanbase has a history of tearing people apart?

Benning is going to take a beating from this fanbase while he rebuilds this team.

All too often the guy that did all the work gets fired and the fruits of his hardwork start to pay off.

This isn't Fast Food Guys... Worse yet... There is no quick fix for this team. The fact that ownership has mandated playoffs every year further exacerbates the problem.

More musing on goalies, mostly, in today's blog.

Oh, and Cory Conacher's likely headed for Europe...

I agree. It's too bad that a poor showing in the playoffs can completely overshadow what was a really impressive and entertaining season.
- CubanBuffet

The thing about the playoffs is that some expected so much more. They really have an unrealistic view of where this team is at.

Where this team was seeded for playoffs was not a true indicator of how they stack up against the competition.

I am certainly not surprised they got smoked by a team that went on to get smoked.

It's going to take a complete overhaul of the D-Core to get anywhere near even a conference final. And that is not going to happen overnight.

I really think if we had a Cup in our history this fanbase wouldn't be as bad as it is to players/management/coaches. There would be a lot more patience for rebuilds than there is now. The fact is, the season ticket holders who FA listen to don't want to see a team be like the Oilers/Sabres/Coyotes and suck for the necessary length of time it will take to get back to contender status. Hence why the goal is to make the playoffs every year and a retool on the fly.

That's unfortunate because, realistically it could be done in 3 years or less.

Many are already on the sidelines... Not buying in to the " Retool on the Fly ".

If you can get a 3rd for Lack or a 5th for Markstrom, I'd still trade Lack.
- KB3Point0

I think a 3rd does less for us than keeping Lack. If that was the best we could get, I'd prefer to package Lack with our 1st and move up to a higher 1st or something.

1 pick in 90 is the bad part, sure something will give though. Maybe Bieksa goes first?
- VanHockeyGuy

It is not one pick in 90

With our second round pick we got Baertchi who will play in the NHL this year.

The third round pick was part of the Kesler trade that brought us McCann

The picks you are trying aquire are bonus picks
