Playoffs.
Ownership wants playoffs.
Every year.

So do I. Any team any year can catch lighting in a bottle and ride it to the cup.

His interviews are all over the map.

He uses we want to be competitive a lot .

He wants to get bigger younger faster stronger and more skilled but has not asked anyone to waive

He wants more draft picks but they haven't discussed trades yet

The only thing the Canucks were catching in a bottle in the last playoffs was farts.

This is a wild idea that could buy some time and let the Canucks exactly what the Canucks have in their two young Goalies.

Send Miller down on waivers and hope the hell someone picks him up . Give the two young goalies a chance to see what they do and showcase them for more value. Then decide . This way you can see if Markstrom is ready for the NHL

I know it would never happen but please please

I think we will be able to see if Markstrom is ready if he were the backup next year (obviously assuming Lack gets traded). There's nothing left for him in the AHL, a league he's done well in for years.

Great post, thanks.

And I agree with you and Marlow, this is smoke and mirrors at work. Although I do believe that he won't ask a player to waive until he has the framework of a trade deal already agreed to with another team.

I think Buffalo draft Eichel , Arizona draft Hanifin . Both go back to college don't sign contracts then become UFAs and sign with Boston

I do smoke weed, I am sure of it.

Seriously what the (frank) is up with the Canucks and goalies.. Do they get off on trading goalies?

A couple of years ago it was a debate louongo or Schneider . Now they are both gone. And now they want to trade Lack haha

Can't, They have to re-enter draft one more time if they do not sign. Much like with Jordan Subban. Eichel has already said he will sign with Buffalo.

How did Justin Shultz avoid re-entering the draft?

If we had Quick in this organization he'd have been traded ages ago.
