I can't view the video for some reason.

Can you share which teams Bieksa is generating "a ton of interest from"?

- AlexF

They were mostly talking about ROR and Lucic (apparently he is available). With respect to Bieksa, they did indicate that he has value as a RHD and would work well playing in a different situation. "Best years of his hockey right now" was one of the quotes (somewhere Vantel just had a massive coronary)

Also talked about goalie availability. Apparently Talbot is at the top of the list and linked to Edmonton as well as a number of other teams (they also heaped a lot of praise on him as becoming an upper tier goaltender). Next on the list was Robin Lehner. Lack was mentioned but with nowhere near the same enthusiasm as the other two

One other note, possibility of a Dougie Hamilton offer sheet by the Oil

It was quite the Stanley Cup parade and party at Soldier Field - 60,000+ people and of course Crawford throwing out f-bombs.

Great celebration (@#$@# jealous )

If we ever won a Cup, I don't think the city would survive the destruction the idiots would cause. You'd have to have the kind of security Toronto had for the G-20 conference with the army and cops from all over Ontario providing backup.

Full marks to the Hawks for winning however they do win 'in spite' of their goaltending.

Niemi was never really that good either is Crawford. Plus Crawford is a massive tool so it's to tough to cheer for the clown but what can you do? That Hawks team has the tools and they do know how to win but it ain't goaltending that got them there.

It is amazing that there were no reports of any vandalism/destruction or violence etc throughout the Chicago festivities. Not too shabby given the extent of the celebration and the massive support the team received (it was unreal watching a sea of red at Soldier Field with the stadium packed, and this doesn't include all the people that lined up along the parade route). Great stuff (although what the hell was up with Toews? was he hitting the bong all night?)

Lehner hasnt proven anything surprised if he would draw much interest unless for a back up role. might be a good fit with the flyers.

I mostly agree, in that Crawford is not in that upper echelon of goalies (and neither was/is Niemi); however, you do have to give him credit for battling through. He certainly wasn't the difference maker but he made the saves when it counted (and I also agree he's a bit of a tool lol).

I don't really think he's gotten a proper chance to showcase himself as a number one goalie - Ottawa has always had pretty decent goalie depth (hence they were able to move Bishop). When he's played he's been fairly impressive, however. I think he'll do well if put into the right situation (by 'right' I mean having the opportunity to be the go-to guy)

ya i think he should go to a team where he can get 30-40 starts next year and work in to a starters role sorta like lack did this season. I think putting him on like the oilers to play 60 games would be a mistake.

Thanks for the summary.

The fact that Talbot is getting that much praise is all you need to know about the current goalie market. As for Lehner, the guy could never oust Anderson as their #1 and then when Anderson does go down it's a random (Hammond) that wins all the accolades. Lack is on par with Lehner, I'm not sure how anyone could claim otherwise.

Now if Craig Anderson is on the block he is leaps and bounds the best goalie on the market. CHI should take a swing at him to secure their dynasty.

Bishop went from 2nd backup to 1G in a single season, Vezina calibre the next. I think it all depends on the person and you'll never know until they're given the chance.

He's proven just as much as Lack has, they have almost identical career numbers. Lehner also had multiple games in a row when Anderson had a concussion and I think a knee injury?

Lehner - Gms86 Wins30 Loss 36 GA230 Saves2,676 Sv%.914 GAA2.88 Mins4,788
Lack - Gm82 Wins34 Loss30 GA188 Saves2,253 Sv%.917 GAA2.43 Mins4,643

Lack for Lehner?
Solves goalie issues 100%
miller/mark, miller/mark, mark/lehner then eventually lehner/demko or mark/demko if mark goes beast mode ben bishop style.

They don't actually name a destination.

The return I hope we get would be...
2nd Rnd (Lack)
2nd Rnd (Bieksa)
3rd Rnd (Markstrom)

Just don't see us getting a 3rd for a goalie that has played what 2 games in the NHL? I'd say a 4th would be more like it.

Great! That said if Lack goes for anything less than a 2nd rounder I'm done.

You may be right on the 4th. A prospect may be a better deal.

I hope a couple of them have NTC's or are rfa dmen.

Any way we can get a 2nd for Jensen or another prospect back that needs a change in scenery?

With Cannata resigned, it's him and Eriksson next season in Utica? Eriksson is presently rfa...

Eriksson's going back to Sweden I think, he's not going to ever make the NHL, at least not in Vancouver.
