It seems like a ridiculous asking price and I feel like we will be lucky to get even half of that.He also had this to say which I found interesting:

Tidbit: Bowman kept asking for one of #isles top D prospects until finally blinking and taking Pokka last year at last moment. - Dunnhawkey
THIS^^^^^^
THAT sounds about right, watch for that dynamic here

But either his source or Bowman is smoking crack. - John Jaeckel
Maybe an "A-level prospect" OR a top 6 forward on an ELC? That might make more sense alongside a first round pick... |

when the Sens are asking for a young Top 6 forward and a pick for either Anderson or Lehner, seems about right compared to that ridiculous bounty Ott is asking - DDM-Coga
If it happens that would be great, I'd be thrilled. But I don't think Sharp is worth any of that. I love the guy and what hes done for the Hawks, but that seems like a ridiculous haul for him.
Video game GM's wouldn't even do that trade. |

If I were the San Jose Sharks, for example, I might give that or close to it up for a proven playoff goalie like Anderson. |

Yeah there is no way we get that. Bowman must be trying to get teams to up their offer (if there is any truthg to this). I imagine we will see a return somewhere in the middle with a late first and a decent prospect with some upside |

Thats what I was hoping to get for ROR, if you get that for Sharp, back the asset dump truck for the Avs.
So I hope you get it...lets make the best division in hockey even more talented |

all speculative at this point.
he played for AGM Mark Hunter's team in junior, so there's history there; good and bad.
The other AGM Dubas is a CORSI guy, and Kadri's underlying #'s are strong.
Extremely talented, but yet to put it together and questionable commitment.
Practically speaking, he seems young enough that a year under Babcock to get more out of him seems like the smartest bet. - Tumbleweed
People read into the Kadri benching as they want to keep him and beat up his ego in order to make him better. If they planned on trading him I don't think they would have suspended him internally.
I think if the leafs acquire Sharp it would be mostly a cap deal.
Something like Sharp and Bickel for cheap depth |

I don't think it's a locker room thing, at least not that I've heard. I think it's more a case of higher ups having some concerns about his reliability. I'll leave it at that. I also don't think they're huge concerns. But I also hear there is something there. - John Jaeckel
Thanks, and this makes sense. I always thought they were extremely disappointed with his fall at the concert. I agree with the poster who said they probably aren't real happy about the F-bomb yesterday after he was told to keep it clean. All of those are "reliability" issues. Hawks appear to want the core to toe the line (Kane would probably get a bit of leeway if he got blasted or something this week) and do what they're told.
With young players taking on significant roles next season I could see now being a good time to move on from CC despite his monumental contribution to two cups. This ALSO plays into why I believe the Niemi rumor vs. handing the reigns to Darling. It's not that I feel they don't think he can remain sober, they probably want to be absolutely sure. |

Wow...really? Seeing as how Sharp's cap is practically 6 million a year, I don't think a ton of teams will be interested. Firmly believing teams know what Chicago is up against, they will not get full value for him IMO. |

Got a question, if indeed Sharp is dealt to the Caps and Tom Wilson happens to be 1 of the pieces coming back this way,why are some assuming that Shaw or Desi will be gone? First I would think that the Hawks would want to try to keep Kruger,Desi and Shaw all together. Secondly, Tom Wilson is a young kid which was a first round pick ,you're not talking about a club foot like John Scott here, that kid has the potential to grow into a good Hardnosed second or third line winger who potentially could score 25 a year and beat your ass if the situation arises, wouldbe a good net and corner guy.Whatbetter scenario than tobe with this coaching staff to progress his game to the next level.
You oldies like me remember the last time we got a young rawboned kid from Boston in 1981 how that worked out.not saying Wilson would score 50 ,but he would definitely add an element to the Hawks game, plus the kid CAN play.
I am thinking Kyle Baun will need time to develope and youcannever have too many guys on your team witha little size thatcan also play. We will see??? |

Those f'n geniuises in Toronto don't know what fair value is. Before they acquire a Sharp, they need to dump some large piles of excrement they already own. - RickJ

>JJ, still think Sharp to Isles
>Gets to play with Tavares -- and Tavares needs a LW scorer
>New building, new location (Brooklyn)
>Big media, bright lights
>Isles have plenty of cap room
>Both of Snow's "cap-dump" acquisitions (Boychuk & Leddy) worked out great for him
>Snow probably inclined to think Sharp will too |
