It's not official but looks like 71 Mil. - Cheeseballin
I was just curious, because I would think that the teams would need to know going into the draft, for trade purposes, ect. |

I would love for that to happen. Seems pretty stupid for a rebuilding team to make that deal if they give up anything substantial which will be picks since the Hawks can't take back salary. |

No way Toronto would be that silly...the whole city would burn! |

Grigorenko would be interesting, but I just don't see a top 10 team trading down that far without wanting the 1st round next year...we all know where that pick is gonna be. |

Shaw 39 pts and 26 pts the last two years in full seasons in the NHL. Nice player, I'm not familar with Percy. |

Yeah, I'm not sure trading 1st and 2nd round picks for 33 year old players and Shaw is the way to go but Shaw is liked by some. |

You missed a HUGE part of the trade proposal...2015 1st (24th) not 4th. 1st round would imply Toronto's own pick. Ok that's different....very different. |

I thought it was heavily implied that they'd be dealing the pick that isn't going to be a major part of their future.
Kind of like saying the sabres are giving up a 2015 1st, yea it's not specific but id bet a lot of money that it's not the one being used to draft eichel. |

If this trade goes down Toronto expects to get these assets back in a Kessel trade |

I thought you meant Shaw. Then that is potentially a big piece going back too. - GilPerreault11
Don't know how credible JJ is but if it's true i don't really get it. It would make more sense if Sharp was still young but the move seems like one made by team that's in the playoffs desperate for leadership.
Edit: saw your kessel comment, i would agree. |

I'm continuing to read the blog and he corrected it at the part of...
Sorry, went back and read the info again. My bad.
Sharp AND SHAW for 2015 1st, 2016 2nd, and Percy.
-JJ
Now in context of previous comments it would make sense to still be 24th. Still a good deal for Chicago, they dump and get good assets. Maybe Toronto by doing the deal will finally realize what they will have to do with Kessel. |

I think Percy's a steal for them, makes losing Oduya easier on them. |

Depends what you think of Gardiner. Outside of Rielly there isn't much there. Matt Finn was supposed to be pretty good but i think he's in the echl now? Valiev looked good in the WJC. |

Not very at all. Not including this years draft, their realistic prospects that have chance of playing in the NHL are Nylander and Percy (Rielly I consider on the Leafs roster and Hyman I'm just not sure about).
Matt Finn was meh in the AHL. |

Gardiner is good offensively but questionable overall. That's ballsy or dumb trading away one of their few top D prospects for Sharp and Shaw. I guess I'll believe this trade when I see it and if it does I'll enjoy reading the Leafs fans replys |
