Gardiner is good offensively but questionable overall. That's ballsy or dumb trading away one of their few top D prospects for Sharp and Shaw. I guess I'll believe this trade when I see it and if it does I'll enjoy reading the Leafs fans replys - GilPerreault11
I wouldn't even say he's good offensively. He's an absolute mess in his own end |

#21 isn't exactly a throwaway pick, nor is #31 really with the depth of this draft - turbo044
You quoted me, but no where in my statement do i call#21 a throwaway. Heres the deal, GMTM said "two drafts and i will ice a competitave team" if thats the goal, we need to use that pick to acquire players who can play an NHL game yesterday. Not in 3 years. We have tons of talent in the pipeline. if we use one year of draft picks to get some NHl players, im all for it. Dont make trading picks a trend, just do it his year. I dont think Murray or the Pegulas want to make 30th place a regular thing. Make no mistake, the management and ownership want this team to look much better than it did last year. May be not "playoffs" better, but better than 30th. A 21st overall draft pick isnt going to do squat fot this team 90 days from now. Trading that pick for an NHL ready player will. |

I think Percy's a steal for them, makes losing Oduya easier on them. - Sabresfan-365
This is surprising
I thought Shaw would be a guy who would move up into a spot vacated by Bickell or Sharp
He's on their top pp unit, so they obv like him
And he's still cheap, which is what the Hawks need
He could be the next "Ladd"
I'd have liked him here actually |

Ya... But for who?
Murray has said repeatedly he'd trade it for a 23/24yr old
But not many of them become available
I think we end up using that pick to draft someone, or trade up & get someone |

I think the addition to the Sabres next year of Kane, Eichel, Reinhart, Pysyk, and others via trade/free agency makes them competitive. Prolly not playoffs but not bottom 5. Also the young guys like 55, 51, 28 are all more expierenced in the NHL. This 21st overall pick could be key when we're competing for the cup in 3 or so years, |

sharp and shaw for 2015 1st, 2016 2nd and Stuart Percy apparently - Sabresfan-365
Anyone else think toronto would be stupid to do this? A 33 year old winger on a team that won't be competitive for 5 years??? And they're giving away 24th overall and a future top 4 dman... I'd love it as a Sabres fan but I think Toronto is the LAST team that should be trading for a guy like that. |

G - Talbot, Lehner, Anderson, Niemi, Ramo, Jones
LW/RW - Nash, Okposo, Kessel
C - ROR, Oshie
D - Oduya, Beauchamin
Offer Sheet - Saad, Tarasenko, Toffoli
Just a recap of the names I've heard in rumors for the Sabres. Doesn't mean they'll acquire any of them.
P.S. - Names are in no particular order. |

That will not happen. 100% guarantee. I'll cook my shoe and eat it.
For that package, as a Sabres fan, they can go (frank) themselves. |

They sure can. Any team would be silly to jump on a trade like that for Sharp right now. I know Bowman set the price high, but he can keep Sharp and all his cap problems if that's the case.

after DJ chocked away the open, did anyone else see him walking to the tent with #99's daughter and their kid?
Her top was half open and he caught a glance

Hard to know whether he choked it away or whether he just had a hard time putting on the surface of the moon.
That course was insanity. I lost a little respect for the USGA, too. |

the only way you would make a putt, was if you hit it firm enough where it rolls 5 feet past the cup to avoid those subtle turns, assuming it didn't take a funny hop.
Oosthuizen was on fire for the back 9 though
