Following a strong first NHL training camp, Sam Reinhart made the Buffalo Sabres’ opening day roster. But the 2014 second overall pick struggled to adapt to the NHL and was returned to the WHL after nine games, due in part to the fact that the Sabres roster was not constructed in a manner that might have allowed the young center some protection as he got used to the pace of the game. He later competed for Canada at the World Juniors where his patience and playmaking led to Reinhart tying for the lead in tournament scoring, then he returned to the Kootenay Ice where he finished with 65 points in 47 games. Reinhart's skating and physical play are still short of elite level, but his high level of intelligence and ability to distribute the puck mark him as a probable impact player."

I would hope the highest drafted player on that list (#2 overall) would be the highest ranked prospect. I love Reinhart. the style of game he will play I gravitate to. Even more than eichel. But I have never seen a prospect like eichel in the blue and gold before. Only 31, missed Gilbert's years.

Not very. I posted another one of his rumors yesterday for the sake of discussion as opposed to validity.

He also mentioned Hodgson is being sought out for something around a 3rd rounder.

He hasn't been BO yet. You gotta think there's a market for him, albeit a very low priced, limited one.

Pierre had roughly 500 goals and 800 assists

In a perfect world, that is the ratio Reinhart gets

Eichel, when the dust settles could very well be the second best player drafted since Crosby

I really have high hopes if these two centers are flanked with quality wingers and a coach that lets them fly, right out of the gate

In 1980 and 1981, before I went away to school, I had season tickets to the Amerks here in Rochester.

When I came back home after school, I spent a few years wallowing in the bar scene, and chasing skirts, and when I settled down a bit and started my family, I spent more time in front of the television, and Marty Biron led the Sabres to a 13 game win streak early in the season in 2005. Since then, I've watched somewhere around 93% of the games, whether in the arena or on the tube. If I'm in the car, I listen on the radio as I drive.

It has been WAY, WAY, WAY too long since I have been as fired up about this team as I was when Marty went off, and in the great couple of years that followed. I'll be goddamned if I'm gonna let some of you wet blanket nay-saying nincompoops out there get in the way of me getting fired up about this team again.

Reinhart is gonna be great. Eichel is gonna be great. Kane is gonna be great. The whole (frank)ing team is gonna be great - and it's gonna be great to be a fan again.

Different time in terms of scoring. But he will do well for himself. I know its tough to envision him getting 50 this year because nobody did it last year. But we should be better this year than last so it is doable.

Ya I figured 3-4 years was long enough for Crosby malkin to be over as best duo. Edmonton, Colorado def, maybe islanders with Tavares/strome and stamkos/Johnson will be competition still. I'll still like ours
