I don't think Carolina would. They're set down the middle and will not be contending anytime soon to be paying Vinny all that money.

Even if he produces, Semins contract would only create bigger issues for us down the road.

Trying to build a hockey team. Why arghhh for Maata vs Laughton? Laughton's NHL career is just getting started. Who is to say he's not the better player in the long run?

The jury is out on long term deliberation of Maata vs Laughton, it will take years I agree.

But this team has had a real identity and style crisis for years with the patchwork lineups and UFA's. You know what the Bruins style is, you know what the Hawks bring etc. The team really had had no specific direction/style with building a roster towards that goal/direction.

All that we debate here is part of the result of not having the insight or shared knowledge of the teams direction/style/system.
