I think "Tim Connelly" gets a bit of a bad rap with some of the posters here.

I honestly think he was a Sidney Crosby-lite. He entered the league in a transition period and dealt with a lot of head injuries, as well as several others. He was constantly targeted; guys constantly laid dirty hits on him because they knew he was a fantastic playmaker. Its unfortunate, the way his career went and ended.

I remember the time I was finally over Ryan Miller. I always thought he was kind of a head-case (he is) but when he started to call out everyone in the locker room and never took the blame, it climaxed when he said something along the lines of Tim Connelly responding "like a frail child" as if him getting injured is why Miller couldn't stop anything high glove side.

I'm not taking the bait, I'm burned out from yesterday.

Well yeah of course he's ready. The guy's been ranting about wanting to get trades done for weeks. But never the less I'm very excited for the next week.

McKenzie didn't say much besides he's " ready " to me, he did give me a little smile and that was about it. I didn't want to bother anyone.

ya know I was thinking. Everyone always seems to think the Sabres, the Bills, Buffalo always gets screwed.

In this case, Sabres lose 2 lotteries in a row.

We're closing in on a player that would have been drafted 1st overall since Crosby. So despite our losing, we're getting the 2nd best player of the past 10 years. I hardly consider that "losing".

Some will say "Oh, but WE didn't GET the MAIN prize" but (frank) the main prize. (frank) McDavid, we don't need that clown. We've got an ace of our own and they will both be masterful out on the ice for a very long time.

And we've got Reinhart, a magnificent talent in his own right, where Murray most likely would have drafted 1st overall last year anyways. The kid has an amazing ceiling and I can't wait to witness the type of play he showed in juniors and the WJC.

Add to that our recent success at drafting high impact players in high draft positions. Girgensons, Risto, Z, Pysyk and a treasure trove of projected impactful complimentary players. We're luckier than some people realize or are willing to admit.

This is no time to be a Debbie. And it's no time to trade our best players for (frank)ing mediocrity.

Oh for sure. It always feels awkward talking with a celebrity more than like 5 seconds. I see Teppo running in my neighborhood all the time, most I've ever chatted with him was 5 minutes and he knows me by name lol
