Penguins should sign Sergei Mozyakin. He had nice chemistry with Malkin in WC. |

Yah, he has top six ability, but will it translate? We will see. Either way, solid depth move for cheap |

NHLE of 44 points but you worry about his skating - Oil_Addict
Skating is something that can be fixed. The Penguins have a lot of great skaters on this team, and if the kid wants to, he can become a better skater. What i like from all the reports are the intangibles the kid has. He has great hockey sense, has a great motor, and has a nasty streak. |

I'm ok with sharp if it does come cheaper. Sharp was always the player to give 100% every shift. - drummer829
Not at that contract. No f'n way. Cap hit, age and giving up assets for another Kunitz is a big mistake IMO. |

Dumoulin on a 2 way deal is risky. He will not be waiver exempted next season. Sure we could send him down and save some cap space if needed but any team could grab him for free from the waivers. Chorney isn't likely to accept another 2 way deal, unless that is really what he is offered by any of the 30 teams. I am sure he is looking at a permanent stay at the NHL level. |

IDK at 25 I think you're skating abilities are pretty set. If that weren't the case everyone would be gliding like Letang.
Good move to grab a guy cheap. Can he be on a 2-way? Slotting him in a top 6 role is a bit pre mature. Anyone remember Janne Pessenon or Tangradi? |

According to the video he has never missed a shot. Great signing tho even if he busts. He's still eligible for elc because of his age. I now expect Geno to win multiple mvp awards because he has a Russian liney |

Yep, he played with Tikhonov. Platnikov had 6G and 6A in 10 games in the 2014 World Championships where Russia won the gold medal. That year the Russian superstars had the Olympics. Platnikov did not play in the Olympics in 2014. |

Pessenon wasn't physical enough for the NHL. Tangradi couldn't skate and had hands of stone.
If he has good hands and can give and take punishment.....he has a chance. At that dollar amount, it's a good move. |

Not arguing its not a good move at all, just saying a lot of ppl were crying for those other 2 guys to get a chance and it didn't work out. The same outcome could be with this guy. I wouldn't call it a day and say roster is set. If he can play anywhere on the bottom 6 and they dont have to resign Winnik or Comeau then great! |

I think the biggest thing is that he has potential to be a top 6 forward. That's big for a team that doesn't have much in the way of potential top 6 forwards in their system. Could he be a bust, yeah, but it won't cost the Pens anything, other than 1M against the cap for this coming year. Low risk, high reward. - cap1681
Hey I'm with ya. You guys were snake bitten last year and were not a deep team. One of the things I love about us is if someone gets hurt we have great players to bring up to take the spot. |

Name the team that can sustain losing 4 of their top 6 dmen? Even ANA, NSH, and NYR would have been ruined with those injuries. |
